I have always loved the food here - sensational quality and great when you need to buy some good quality healthy food. I popped into the shop today needing a quick snack and they had one lonely date scone on the counter - if you haven't tried them they are delicious - gutsy and full of flavour. The lady serving me, asked if there was anything else I would like and I replied "I'd love some butter on it". And that's what I received, all done with a beautiful smile. Thank you Houghtons for years of wonderful service and wonderful taste treats - healthy and not so. See less

Shop and food lovely….customer service is appalling!!!! 4 people working behind counter, l was only person in the store! Ignored for awhile, finally got served, barely got a “hello” or have a nice day!! This is a common occurrence….so you have lost my business! See less

We first came across Houghton's Fine Foods at a wedding that we photographed. Their cakes are absolutely amazing!!! Fresh, scrumptious and simply delectable, you can not go wrong with Houghton's Fine Foods. We can't wait for our next visit to Mornington so we buy an assortment of cakes. Houghton' s is often my port of call when I can't be bothered cooking dinner or when I'm having friends over. Just like home cooking with some more fancy dishes. There's a thrilling cake and deli section and you can even grab yourself a last minute bottle of wine. Try their lamb koftas. Divine. See less

The produce looks great, shop smells divine, setup us all appealing till you get a I don't care attitude service. Also ham was dried out first slice, have you not taught your team to ditch that first dried out" I have been exposed for while slice? " At that price you could consider that. Won't be back in a hurry. Not because the food but caus of the lack of service, smile thank you have a great day lacking. See less
