I don't like giving a place a bad review but I rely on reviews when I go somewhere. The tavern is good for a drink, it's clean and got a good outdoor seating area and that's where it stops. We have been served raw food, cold food, burnt food, plates come out with half the ingredients missing, sauces tastes like it powdery from a packet, food served an hour after first plate. It's the only place I have ever asked for my money back and that was for chicken that was really off colour and consistency. It was like leftover dried up from the day before. The only reason I have given two stars is because of the bar staff. Even when u say to them the food is really bad, they know what you are talking about and sympathise but can't do anything. One waitress doesn't even acknowledge u are there and drops food on the table like she is being asked to do something that's not in her job spec. And this is not a bad day which we all have, it's consistently. I asked for something to be done on my food and I heard the chef swearing about it when the waitress asked once. I said it to her when the food came to the table and she was embarrassed that I could hear him. But he doesn't seem to care. The food used to be so good and we did eat there twice a week but have stopped. It's a pity as it's a good location.
