I haven't been to Hungry Jack's for over a decade and it will be another decade until I dare to step into one of their stores. My first impression was the discarded Hungry Jack's packaging, all over the car park and there was only one bin.. which was overfilled! Because it had been over a decade, I wasn't up to speed.. in refrance to the menu. I simply asked the very young lady; What was the closest burger to a normal Aussie burger? She replied; Ah.. we don't have an Aussie burger. I tried to explain again, when she turned and left me halfway through my sentence and whispered to another young lady, who in turn.. came over to try to help. She too.. didn't know what was the classic Aussie burger. But helped me settle on the nearest to.. which was the Whopper with small chips, caramel shake and six chicken nuggets. While waiting I noticed that the benches had smages, were sticky and in need of a proper clean! I checked my order, as it was handed to me and found that the chips were luke warm, as was the meat paddy in the burger. I stood there.. waiting to be noticed. But all were facing the other way, having a great ol'e chat. I had to actually.. call out to be noticed! Excuse me..! Here.. feel the temperature of these chips. I had one on my hand, offering it to her.. to feel. She declined.. saying; I'll get you some fresh ones. Fresh ones! I thought to myself.. they should always be fresh or at least served hot! You see young lady; I've worked in the Hospitality Industry on and off for over twenty years! I continued.. now see all those chips scaterd around the chip bay? You should place them back into the bay itself, for that's where its the hotest! Furthermore.. the young lady who first.. didn't served me! She should of stayed with you, while you eventually.. thus correctly.. served me the nearest burger to an Aussie Burger! So in the future.. when an older person asked the same question! She already knows, she in fact.. has the product knowledge. For it doesn't matter what Bussiness it is! It's paramount to know your business and the products you sell. Not knowing.. not being able to explain to the customer or client, what goods you have and how good your products are. Whether it's fast food or an upper class international restaurant, cars, trucks or the toy section in K-Mart! If you don't know the industry your in and the products your to sell! Well.. you don't sell! Cause you don't know what your selling.
