We had the share platter for 2 and a serve of baby octopus. Generous portions. The share platter which was delicious, meat had a nice flavour and was cooked to perfection. The octopus let them down. Otherwise good service and reasonably priced. See less

Visited 2/4/22. Nice food. As for the service….not so nice. Pretty much ignored after we sat down and we’d to ask the staff 25 mins later if we could have a drink and order food. These came promptly but then there was no further service - we weren’t asked if we’d like another drink and desserts. Today my partner and we’re out looking for a bite to eat for lunch. We had the thought of Pepe’s at Jindalee, we sat down and was greeted by a waitress, who dropped off our water whilst talking on the her mobile. I’m ex hospitality of 16 years and said to my partner hell no!!!!! So we promptly stood up and decided on Icarus. What a great choice we made. The young waitress was so nice and prompt. We ordered the three dips and dolmades for an entree. The dips were awesome flavourful and the pitas were like fluffy clouds. For mains my partner had the lamb yiros which she said was amazing and I hade the tebedes, these little meatballs flavoured with fennelgreek seeds must have come from heaven because o god they were great. I love the food at Icarus and the service is great. Though I live in Mount Gravatt (round-trip over 40km) I bring all my friends to Icarus an visit at least twice per month. The platters are the best and great value. Try it out and spread the word. See less

Went here for dinner and ordered the vegetarian moussaka. The moussaka had very little flavour and was just some chunks of vegies in bechamel sauce, not layered and way too much bechamel. The accompanying sides were nice. I mentioned this to the sweet girl behind the counter who said she would pass on the feedback. See less

Icarus is potentially the best Greek food place I have been to. This was one of the first places my partner took me out and I am very fond of your food and environment. Definitely recommend the souvlaki (smoked chorizo)... incredible food. See less

Icarus is a very nice addition to the dining scene in Seventeen Mile Rocks. Starting with the not so good, the decor and ambience inside are a little, dare I say it, “spartan”. Some more attention to decor would help, especially as the locale is not itself so lovely. The friendliness of the owner and staff is very good and the food authentic, typically delicious Greek. Have visited three times now and the third was just a little disappointing. The saganaki was dry, the dolmades somewhat tasteless, but overall pleasant. Worth a try! See less

Very well cooked and plated . We thoroughly enjoyed the traditional food lovely atmosphere very friendly staff thank you for a great eating experience. If I can be just a little picky. I struggled a little reading the menu as the lighting is dim and had to illuminate the menu using my phone. See less

Even with their takeaway, they have packaged everything so nicely with love, and separated the mains and salad / sides so you could taste the real food rather than like some other places where they just squeeze everything in one food container and close the lid. Really yummy, super friendly little gem! It got busy when we visited and our food took a little while coming out but they sent out a complimentary platter with yummy bread & dips, which we were pleasantly surprised by! Seemed to be only one very busy hard working chef in the kitchen & he did an amazing job! The food was delicious & super generous portions.
