The 5-star reviews are well deserved. I tried Joe's tonight (takeaway), 10 dishes for a big family dinner and everyone loved it. The green curry, and pawpaw salad were particularly delicious. Highly recommended! See less

Went here after a few hours of training and has absolutely the best Thai dish I could wish for! Staff were super polite, the food was made super quickly and it was so so delicious. The resturant has a good vibe but I saw a lot of people were coming for pickups. Highly recommended See less

We've recently moved to Wanniassa and many people have recommended Joe's. We finally got the chance and it definitely loved up to the hype. We went down to dine-in but it was a full and fully booked (need to reserve in the future) so we ordered takeaway. We ordered the chili jam stir fry, a Penang curry, chili and basil stir fry and an amazing noodle Pad Siew. All the dishes were great, big servings, full of veggies and meat. Will definitely be back. So disappointed. $86 dollars for all this + one extra rice It was NOT worth it! - There was more tufu in the Pad Thai than chicken. The flavour was SO bland! It was as if there was no sauce at all - sweet and sour was... average to say the least - thai beef salad. The beef was so tough! Not what you would normally get and simply inedible - the biggest disappointment was the beef mussaman curry. SO OILY. Did not taste like mussman curry at all - frozen home brand tastes better - the other dish I dont even remember what it was but it wasnt enjoyable and the container was half full before we even opened it?! Normally when you order takeaway - the containers are full. Not this place Honestly its the worst thai ive had. After seeing 4.6 stars from 198 reviews, I was excited. I looooove Joe's Thai Food! My only issue is that is a little too far from my home for me to go regularly. Although it's probably a good thing for my waistline! The restaurant itself is nothing fancy but it's clean, comfortable and modern. I think Joe's is one of the best Thai restaurant in Canberra. Joe has been cooking Thai food in Canberra at different restaurants for more than 15 years. I love the crispy calamari but everything we've had has always been good! We enjoy family dinners at Joe's when we can. See less

Excellent balance between sweet sour and spicy. Unlike most other Thai restaurant they do not over laden their food with sugar. Even their icecream in the banana fritter isn't too sweet. Well done guys! Oh must try their Laos sausage. Watch out for the spicy sauce on the side though. See less

The best Thai food I've had in a very long time. Exceptional customer service combined with finger licking delicious food. Extremely cost effective with good size servings! The restaurant is cozy with a wonderful atmosphere. Canberra is notorious for its expensive restaurants but Joe's Thai Food beats the odds! We are so happy to find out about Joe's. I guess we will eating at Joe's every fortnight. See less
