As a first time customer, I had the most appalling experience at Kim Kim Bakehouse. We popped into this bakery as it is the closest to the train station, after choosing our food and drinks we were then told it was cash only as were about to pay. I told them I didn’t have cash on me- she didn’t offer any solutions other than rolling her eyes and telling us she’d put the food back. My sister waited in the store while I went and found a bakery to get cash out. When I came back, I noticed that there were no signs out the front of the store or inside the store that indicated it was cash only. I mentioned this to the shop attendant to which she replied that “all the locals know it is cash only” ...I AM A LOCAL. She told me if I wasn’t happy I could shop elsewhere- at this point I became upset and told her my sister is a type 1 diabetic and that without food her sugar levels can get dangerously low, and that we had chosen to shop in her bakery that day as it was the closest to the train station. She completely ignored what I had said and angrily repeated that I should shop elsewhere. Absolutely appalling, I will not be going back. See less
