Had Dinner with the kids (grown up) and all three of us were very happy with our meals. One suggestion I could make would be that there were more veggies in the vegetarian meal.

I have been regular since I had a spicy sashimi don which can remind my hometown. Their staff always provide good customer service as well.

I’d recommend dining in rather than ordering takeaway if possible. Their sushi rolls is highly recommended.

The experience wasn’t that great. As others said, prices are expensive for the portion sizes. Paid $8 for 6 pieces of really tiny salmon slices. Also, they were out of a lot of ingredients including ramen and steak based meals. Finally poor mobile signal inside. Go to another place!

Underwhelming experience. Ordered the meal > grilled salmon steak for $35.60. The meal was definitely not worth the price and had better for about half the price at other places.

Trying to come to terms with paying $10 for salmon sushi and picking up food…getting home to see only a handful of small bite size (or less) pieces. Get more sushi in a $3 roll at most shops

My partner and I really enjoy eating here, the sashimi is always fresh and they have a large selection of dishes on the menu. Staff are always lovely.

One of the best places for traditional Japanese food in Canberra. It is reasonably priced and the seafood always tastes fresh. The menu is large and they do lunchtime bento boxes. My personal favourite is the udon and sushi set - best of both worlds!

Service was good, food was nice . It used to be really good now its just ok. The last few times I have ordered take away have been a bit disappointing. Prices are moderately high for some dishes.

Not too bad experience with food and service. It was not too crowded so I could enjoy with my company. If you are in North side of canberra and craving for Japanese then you can enjoy it;)

Made a reservation well in advance. The food was ok but the service was terrible. Ordered edemame and karage chicken along with a donburi. The donburi arrived but the entrees never did. We got our order taken twice and apparently they got confused because they sent a different staff to take our order the second time. Finally when we pointed it out, we just thought of doing a takeaway as we were still hungry. The portions we were given were disappointing. We paid $14 for literally 9-10 nibble sized pieces of chicken which was clearly not worth it. All this and we didn't even get an apology or acknowledgement that they clearly messed up.

New 3/7/20: They have really dropped their standards. Whist the food still tastes reasonably the same, they dropped half the menu and the wait staff were terrible. They forgot 4 out of 7 of our dishes. Old: I get amazing food every time I go here. Have had the 8 course set menu, I highly recommend. High quality and good value.

Love this place!!! Kokoro is our favorite to go sushi restaurant in Gungahlin. They have lots of different dishes to choose and they also have some lunch specials if you want to grab decent Japanese meals for your lunch! Nice atmosphere, friendly service and good food. The sushi and sashimi are really fresh whenever we order, love all the Udon noodle soups, recommend the deep fried cutlets(chicken or pork), also the special rolls.
