I've been to La Piazza on a previous occasion and it was fine. However I went the other night and I was very disappointed. The restaurant was not busy and in fact we were the only ones there for at least an hour. My wine took about 10 mins to come to the table, my pizza was like tough cardboard, our water was not kept topped up, the dessert menu never came to us even though we asked for it, and then we were told 2 mins before 9pm that the restaurant was closing in 2 mins and we had to finish our meals causing my friend to not even finish her dessert. The best restaurant in the town. The food is just absolutely delicious and very friendly staff. We often go there for our meals on special occasions, and the food is so good which makes it more special. The staff and the food is what makes us go there all the time. One star is more than this place deserves. What used to be an ok restaurant for Italian on the Southside has now become a disappointing place for average food. We ordered the formaggio pizza (that means a full circle of bread with toppings) for entree. This came out with 4 pieces and the rest looked as if the kitchen staff decided to the other slices for themselves. Ordered chicken Marsala for mains which was an average sauce with three small pieces of chicken. I’m no chef however I know a pizza usually comes with all its slices and Marsala isn't a flavourless soup. Based on the fact we were the only table it’s clear the community feels the same way about this restaurant. Very disappointed. See less

one 🌟 is extremely more than such a sh'** customer representative on white bangles and i wonder if rest of customers feel the same. Went there for a doordash pickup, waited enough till the order was finished up so I could deliver it to the customer and i get ended up with someone who's having a bad day and too unprofessional to be surprisingly rude to others. Been in the hospitality industry for 5 years and never seen someone still working with that attitude. See less

It took 2 hours to say that the ordered gnocci wasn't available. Then we ordered canelloni, and it wasn't really tasty. I ordered two glasses of Pinot Noir but they could serve only enough for 1 glass. Pretty bad experience, unfortunately. See less

Excellent friendly service, our food was delicious! I had pasta which was flavoured just right, my dining partner had lamb shank which was falling off the bone. I would highly recommend and definitely will be going back. See less

Place was fairly busy when we arrived for lunch without a booking. Stated off sitting outside but got offered an inside table when one became available. Ordered 3 large pizzas and a serve of chips to share. Food took around 15 minutes to come out, and all were decent. Only managed 4 slices, which speaks to their size. See less
