If there was a negative star rating I'd be giving that for this restaurant. Stopped over for a dinner during our visit to The ACT. Nehari smelt like balloons, thoroughly bland in taste, Naan & Karahi was okay but wasn't near good standard. The air conditioners weren't turned on, upon asking we were told that they have a leakage, you could have arranged it to be fixed, it's not rocket science, especially when you're running a business and your presentation is not even sub par, not a single staff in sight, presence of mosquitoes & flies. no presentation, weren't given any water i.e. jug of water & glasses itself unless otherwise we requested them, because of the mozzies we had to change our seats and the guy serving us didn't even bother to ask us about the service & the food. Went to Lahore gate last night. The experience was not good. There was a smell in the restaurant. The food iftari / dinner was not great and tasteless. Restaurant was not clean. Moulded roof, dirty tables and seats. The cutlery was dirty. Highly dissatisfied. Not value for money. Will not go again. See less

Authentic, delicious food. The chicken biriyani and garlic naan is what will keep bringing me back here. This is the first restaurant I have ever been to that sells real biriyani. Prices are very reasonable too. Definitely worth the drive out to Weetangera. See less

On a Tuesday night the restaurant was packed with people which was a perfect first impression. The food was good and the wait staff was a gentleman. The owner worked really hard to keep getting food out to the tables. Food was good and the business needs to be supported by the local community specially post covid. This place is so filthy that I cannot think of going there again. The glasses had lip marks on them and not washed properly. The plates needed to be replaced as they were not clean. The tables had food leftovers on them and not cleaned. The food portions are very small and food tastes just okay. Overall dissatisfying experience! See less

I love Lahori Gate - I've had a couple of terrific dinners here in the past, and today picked up the new 'lunch special' - two curries, rice and naan - which was excellent and extremely affordable. There's a terrific variety of dishes on the menu, and the restaurant is always running buffets and other deals which give you a chance to try the full range. Highly recommended. See less

The food and service was excellent! I have been living in Sydney for years but this was the best biryani and Goal Gappas i have had in Australia. Highly reccomended to anyone visiting ACT or residing there. Owner Ahmed is humble and good listener too. Best of luck Ahmed..:) See less

It is very very rare that any resturant meets my high standard for biryani. This resturant is the only one in Canberra so far to actually give me biryani when I order it and not polau! The nihari is amazing as is the naan. Great food. Great customer service. See less

Went to Lahori Gate tonight with my family and friends. The food and drinks we had were very tasty and enjoyable - especially the samosa chaat and chicken biryani, they were absolutely amazing. The staff was super friendly as well - they gave really good recommendations and made sure the food suited our spice tolerance. Amazing food. Authentic and delicious pakistani cuisine with fantastic customer service, exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Biryani is the best in Canberra and definitely should give the harleen a go too. This place for sure deserves more reviews and I will definitely be back to try the other selections they have to offer!!! ❤️ See less
