Fantastic authentic Thai restaurant hidden on Flemington Rd. It has been around for some years, moved from the central CBD location. I highly recommend the pineapple fried rice and crispy pork belly. I doubt you could go wrong on this menu. Make sure to book for lunch as it is very busy. See less

This unassuming Thai restaurant reminds me of great old school Thai restaurants I went to as a kid. Gotten takeaway and dined in. The staff are all extremely polite and attentive with food arriving without too much of a wait. Yes the dinner menu may be comparatively smaller than others, but better do each dish well which this place does rather than a mass very sparingly with attention. Traditional favourites of vegetarian and non vegetarian entrees like fish cakes, spring rolls, curry puffs all very good. The Tom yum soup with tofu was good on the herbs and spices and nice crispy vegetables. The red and green curries were not oily nor too rich and were very tasty, although could have used more tofu. Rice cooked perfectly. Great value for money. Would recommend. Safe bet! See less

Extremely surprised at the quality of the food. Not only that, enough food for the price you pay. Even has BYO and decently priced alcohol. Decor is very comfortable. Highly recommend the BBQ chicken and curry puffs. See less

Located around the periphery of a few hospitals, Lanna Thai projects a warm, cosy escape into a Thai infused ambience. The décor and dishes were not overly heavy, and felt very Thailandic. Upon arriving at Lanna, and attempting to debate between this and the one next to it, an enthusiastic random bystander offered his seal of approval, highly recommending the grilled items, which we couldn't try due to the wide array of our usual favourites being on the menu.
