Excellent and authentic food with very good prices. We were two people, and we ordered chicken with noodles and rice with lamb and carrots. Super happy with them. I also loved the homemade yogurt. The portions were quite big. We ended up super full and the bill was $35. The owners were nice and great to talk to (we all speak Mandarin). That’s the vibe I’d expect in a family restaurant. I've been in to many restaurants fancy high class and famous popular and some was good some was great some was fantastic but for myself as I'm middle eastern I'm in love with they food and this two beautiful old couple and first time in Australia I felt like I'm eating my mum food.food made by love and you can feel it.i highly recommend it and if I could give more star I wouldn't hesitate .thank you so much and more often will see you See less

I’ve been visiting them since they were back in Malvern 2010, and didn’t know they move to Surry hill. Thanks to the social media I found them again and was so happy to find my favourite traditional XinJaing dish in all Melbourne. The best homemade food you should never miss. Elderly couple running the joint who are friendly and hospitable. A small cosy place with no frills. Yoghurt drink homemade and yum. Tried big chicken plate which had tasty noodles, also the skewers were great though limited stock. Also had a deep fried lamb rib dish which was very tasty and decadent. Run by a very friendly and lovely older couple who are actual Northern Chinese. The food is very delicious and authentic, for a reasonable price. The owners clearly put the quality of their food and the satisfaction of their customers over everything else. Highly recommended. See less

some of the best, most authentic xinjiang food this side of melbourne. Not even xinjiang, but food, period. It's a small place run by the owners, who are lovely and showed us incredible hospitality. I could not recommend this place more. If you want to know what to order, the lamb skewers are unforgettable. But do keep in mind that the charcoal grill may need to be stoked first (just shows the care and love that goes into the food!). 5 stars. See less

Best place to eat authentic Xinjang food. Their lamb ribs and kebabs are just as good as Iranian cusine. This place used to be in Malvern and they moved now to Surrey Hills. It is run by a great famil. Highly recommended for dine in or takeaway. See less
