The latte art at Lava Espresso Weston attempted to depict a swan. The execution, overall, wasn't bad. For the cappuccino that I ordered, the angle of the Swan's neck to rump was quite acute and unrealistic. That being said, my partner's swan was more realistic, perhaps depicting a Eurosiberian Mute Swan rather than Australian Black Swan. Overall, however, great coffee, great service, 5 stars. See less

Attended on a Saturday morning, it was a little busy so service was a bit slow, but the coffee was excellent. Next time we are visiting this side of the lake we will be sure to grab our flat white from here again! See less

Lava is a great little coffee shop in the vicinity of Cooleman Court, run by trendy people who make good coffee. It had been a little bit unreliable previously as sometimes you'd get a coffee which was awful and I was unsure if this was secondary to barista or blend. However about 6 months ago this seemed to change and it's almost always excellent. Limited food menu. See less

Good coffee. Nice atmosphere. Nice & open in summer - not so stuffy as most places. Quite pricey - a dollar more expensive for my usual order. Chris' Patisserie next to them makes better Mochas, and nicer people. See less
