I had a great dining experience in Lilo, the atmosphere there and staff service was really impressive. My friends and I ordered the feed Me Course. To be honest, everything from the taste of the food to the presentation was great, and the desserts at the end were delicious as well. I think Lilo Tang is one of the best Fine Dine restaurants in Canberra. Would be back again. See less

Lovely atmosphere and food. Service was great, the meals came out at a good pace with breaks between the courses which was nice + we never had to flag anyone down to get another drink. My only gripe was that they have a section of the menu called 'bigger' which you'd think would be a more substantial share plate. We ordered the toothfish at $49 and it was two tiny pieces of fish. Pretty much the same size as what we ordered from their 'bites' section. Overall it was delicious and we enjoyed ourselves. See less

Lilotang has left the best impressions. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. I ate $80 Feed me course and food is pretty good, some Japanese classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. (But It was a little bit big portions for me.) I used to live in Syd and I love fine dining restaurants. Honestly It was hard to find a restaurant which I feel satisfied in Canberra. I finally found what I've been looking for. See less

Was disappointed by the quality of the food for such an upmarket restaurant. The eggplant was undercooked and needed more flavor, the stuffed zucchini flowers were tasteless, the risotto, while tasty, was also under cooked. My mocktail had more ice in it than drink. Nice environment and staff. See less

First dinner experience at Lilotang and could be my last one for a while. We opted for the $80 feed me experience, and all dishes were average. I had to look at the menu again to remind me what we had, as none of the dishes were unforgettable. The service wasn't great either: hard to catch the staff's attention and poor timing in between dishes. I would recommended spending your money elsewhere. See less

Food was good but ruined by the experience. We were sat and started our course before most others. While we were waiting for our main, the table next to us had barely finished their first entree. Yet they were served main before us. This happened with about four other tables as well, Safe to say we were forgotten. Waited over 40 minutes for the main. Forfeiting the dessert cause we were over waiting. It was only a tasting menu available for that night. Menu on the booking system was different to the menu we were served, naturally disappointing as I booked based on the menu I read online. Portion sizes - I’m well experienced with fine dining portion sizes but I don’t like having to get a cheese burger on the way home after spending $230 cause I’m still starving. Food quality was very good. I actually send this feedback in over email over two weeks ago. No response or acknowledgement. I’m not one to typically go out of my way to publicly post feedback, but after eating at Miss Vans and having an amazing experience, I couldn’t not express it to others. See less

A very cozy Japanese restaurant in Australia’s Capital, Canberra. They do have good varieties of sakí, art work from menu cover to placemat is interesting, it will make you eat more. A good place to eat after work, giving as a Japan vibe. See less

Tried a bunch of snacks, raw fish and dessert…. The service was lovely but the food is VERY over priced and tasted lower quality than food court food. The tuna had house succulents as decoration, I ate one thinking it was edible…. Almost threw up the big mac I had for lunch which was more enjoyable. See less

Beautiful space and concept but the food tasted average and came in underwhelming portions. The one standout good dish was the pork belly skewers, which were juicy and delicious. Staff were nice. Comments on the remaining dishes: - Oyster: average tasting sauce but fresh - Aburi salmon: by far the most disappointing dish with four tiny slivers and an over salted sauce - Kingfish: I was disappointed since I was expecting it to look/taste like Akiba’s. Not many fish pieces and average tasting sauce. - Scallops: it doesn’t look too appetising but tastes surprisingly good. Small portion. - Miso eggplant: ours was still quite solid/tough. The sauce was average. - Chocolate fondant cake: disappointing since the cake was cooked through, no molten core. It tasted good though. My favourite of the three options. - Black sesame pavlova: disappointing since it the pavlova part was super hard with no gooey parts. Tastes ok. - Lime panna cotta: disappointing since the components didn’t taste good together (in my opinion). My least favourite. See less

Great venue - very stylish & modern. Service was friendly & attentive. Cocktails are delicious. Food had great presentation & portion size but some dishes disappointed on taste. The spicy edamame were delicious. Kingfish with yuzo miso, did not have much taste - meh 😐 (the tufu crunch was interesting 👍) The batter on the vegetable tempura was not tempura batter but much heavier (like a batter that belongs on fish) See less

Kilo tang was a fantastic experience. Great atmosphere and great vibe. Staff were attentive and super knowledgeable about the menu. We got the standard Feed Me menu which was super generous and really taste.. Definitely try this but if a la carte is your thing, the salmon is a must! Thanks for such a great night. I went with my partner sometime last year for dinner. We got the set menu for 2 with an additional duck breast sukiyaki. The food was divine. The scotch fillet and pork belly were stand out dishes. The our waiter gave us an additional dessert on top of the 2 that came with the set (as he noticed we were undecided on which two to get). Highly recommend the restaurant and will come again when in Canberra. See less
