First we had a cockroach on our chair , that we had to chase off. I ordered a babydoll rose . I asked the waitress to check that it was a babydoll because it didn’t taste right . The waitress returned with another glass of wine , sorry no it wasn’t a babydoll because we had run out but then we found some more . The second glass tasted the same as the first glass , I do know my rose , if you don’t have any say so . I ordered the cheese and broccoli bites , they were so dry , couldn’t eat them. My friend also ordered them and didn’t eat hers . My other friend had mussels and said the beard was was still in the mussels. And to top it all off there were flys everywhere. See less

Although the bar has a nice atmosphere and staff, i was very disappointed to see one of the staff (a man) screaming and cursing at the wait staff for simple mistakes. These wait staff were pushing themselves to complete their jobs, and in a busy restaurant mistakes are bound to happen, this in no way gives people with authority the right to scream and swear at them in the middle of the restaurant. This is not what i wanted to listen to while enjoying a pint and a meal. Please do better! See less

Definitely a great place to go if you want to sit around chatting and been avoided by staff. Tongue in cheek. Deciding to venture out and support our local club for a long overdue long Saturday lunch, was marred by the unhospital hospitality staff who 1. Didn't look like they wanted to be there 2. Took our menus after one cocktail without asking if we needed anything else.... watched at least 5 staff walk past us sitting with no drinks, No menus. Strategically avoiding eye contact for at least half an hour.. We just escaped husbands and grandchildren, No way we were leaving before we had few more. The place was steady but not pumping us 3 ladies couldn't believe it.. " isn't it better when it's busy, your day goes quicker". We've all done hospo but our empathy was waning due to the lack of more wine food and cocktails. We had to almost beg for the return of the drinks menu even that felt like an inconvenience. Our sense of humour returned with a bottle of Ros'e nachos more cocktails and a semi cold beer. NOTE to SELF bring your own table Bell for attention if your middle aged. PS: Couldn't fault the tasty food and cruise ambience. See less

Wow.... LBSC you did us proud. My now husband and I had our wedding reception at Long Bay Surf Club. Frank was more than accommodating, allowing us to fetch our cake and decorations and letting us have a dedicated area for our celebration. His communication was faultless. Additionally, Andrew the guy looking after us for the night was a legend. Professional, attentive, polite and just all round AMAZING! Furthermore, the food.....omg it was so delicious, all our guests loved it and could not fault the standard and service. As for the cocktails they are on point. Thank you LBSC for making our day even more special and memorable. We will be seeing you regularly and I'm sure many of our guests will too. Keep doing what you're doing cos your doing an amazing job!!!! See less

Valentine’s Day and Superbowl and the place is packed. 3 staff on tables doing their very best with one brand newbie on the bar… Staff are border line crying. No breaks and expectations of them which are over the top. Disappointing Management with lack of care and they need to take a good long look at themselves. Without your lovey kind staff, we would not frequent as often, so time to sharpen up and back up your staff because without them your restaurant would have folded tonight. They have a recipe for a fantastic environment, what a shame. See less

Best nachos I’ve had in a long time! Good beer, food, staff, atmosphere and close to the beach to go to after a surf. Even has a games machine to entertain the kids while having a beer or three with a mate. What more could you ask for?! See less

Great outside space. Very friendly staff. I only went for a drink with friends and was really surprised that they only have 1 type of gin and also don't serve tonic bottles so I had a wine instead. Great atmosphere though - I'll have something to eat next time. It would have been nice to have had a g&t though :) See less

Came here for some Sunday brunch and the food was amazing. I got the fish and chips! Cooked to absolute perfection. Nice and relaxing environment, the staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back sometime soon to try out more of the menu See less
