Went to Lorraine’s on a Wednesday night with a group of friends. Wednesday is “mussel” night with a limited menu but all you can eat of the mussels in different sauces. Australian mussels are sweeter than green lipped NZ mussels, they were moist, plump and just delicious. Service was professional and prompt and the place was pumping and had a good vibe. I know I’ll be going there many times in the future now that I’ve discovered it. See less

We went early on a Saturday evening and were so impressed with the venue, the service and of course the amazing menu and wine list. It was one of the best meals and nights out we've had in ages. Definitely one to put on the 'to do' list! See less

Delicious high quality plates, selection of wines and great service. The owners and staff are a delight and very welcoming. A really great vibe with some fab cocktails to boot! Absolutely smashed it! The cocktail special, the tuna tartar (is all-time), the Scallops with Yuzu Bernaise, the Shitake Paté, the Steak, and dear lord the truffled mashed potatoes! Great value, great service, will definitely be back soon! See less

Beautiful space, the octopus and chorizo croquettes were excellent. Unfortunately the mussels had way to much garlic and a really weird taste, the $44 rib eye steak was supposedly cooked on the charcoal grill but lacked any of that flavor and was also over cooked (was medium instead of medium-rare). We dined at Lorraine’s tonight, (our second visit), and it was again lovely. The renovation is amazing - such a beautiful dining area, well set up for groups as well. The food is delicious - the charred octopus and snapper a stand out. The service is attentive and friendly. A very well managed restaurant that is very welcome in the Waverley area.
