Figuring out how to get in to the place was a headache. I have a theory that it's to keep the people of Coffs Harbour healthy, because I couldn't figure out how to get in the one at the shopping centre either. Touché. Nice people. See less

I have had to change my review down to a 1 star. This is due to the food from dinner tonight was not up to par of what we have had at lucky star before. Portions were smaller, bones in the battered fish and you could tell it was frozen. There just no love in the food that was produced tonight. See less

Pretty good food and portions and great, though I do feel as though ordering food can be quite long?? There needs to be at least 2 ppl taking orders especially at busy times and another serving just drinks. The atmosphere in eating area is alot nicer than most pubs which was quite relaxing. Always great food here but every time I go I always wonder why they only have one counter at the bar that takes food orders? Can take ages to order if its a lunch or dinner rush. The person at the counter takes the food orders, then fills the drink orders as well so just makes the whole process so long. They should have someone else do the drinks especially if they can see a long queue of people! (Was there on Sunday for Mothers Day). Or have more than one counter to take food orders.. Other than that really great vibe and great customer service! Food is always good! See less

We stopped here for lunch. The tavern is part of the shopping centre, and parking was available in the carpark just a few steps away. Cheerful and pleasant wait staff. Food ordered was quick and fresh. Sizeable dining room. I ordered nachos from the starters menu with the option for a meal size. There was enough for two! Layers of cornchips, cheese and meat. Served with sour cream and guacamole on the side. My companions opted for the daily special at $15. Good value for pork chop and salad and vegetables. We gave dessert a miss. See less

Great place. Attended a Private function and the Garden Room was hired. Great service and room was air-conditioned. Fairly new and modern. Staff were very good. The food was sensational. I had the garlic prawn. Filling and so nice and cheap enough. I was impressed. Fish n chips and platters were also very good. The only thing I felt was a let down were the wings. Nothing great about them at all, just chicken wings cooked and then sauce on them. Maybe a crumbed batter and then soaked in tasty sauce would've been better, otherwise don't bother with this dish. Overall This place has everything from gaming to pool tables to a few big screens with sport viewing etc. I like the vibe here. Wonderful place for families I would definitely be back as this was my first time. See less

Had the lunch special and it was large size and well priced. The fish was bit too oily but the coleslaw was refreshing. The parmi was nice as well. Was hoping to have the seafood basket, however, new menu in place. See less
