We ordered delivery tonight and placed quite a large order as, for the price, we were expecting excellent quality. Overall we were disappointed. The best thing by far was the order of pork ribs. They were really delicious and we enjoyed the sauce. Coming in next were the scotch fillets. They were cooked to the right temperature, but lower in quality than we were expecting. This is our preferred cut of steak that we get from restaurants but it was thinner and tougher than at other places. Fortunately, still tasty. The side of veggies was pretty good, nicely flavored. But that only served to cause confusion that the mashed potatoes and the "rustic fries" that came with the ribs were both so bland! Truly both were shockingly unseasoned. Guess this place has a real vendetta against potatoes. Regardless, the worst thing in the order was the mushroom sauce. Truly gross. We won't order again. The price doesn't match the quality. Looks like a lovely place. However stood in line yesterday waiting to order whilst the server blatantly ignored us whilst chatting up a group of girls for 5 minutes. Left and went around the corner - lots of other struggling Small businesses to support that make an effort. See less

As a vegetarian I would never walk in. Although, I have a partner who’s a big meat eater and we ended up dining in. What a great surprise. They had two vegetarian options and I ordered the vegetarian burger, which was really good. As a side dish I had Arancini which were also amazing. Loved the deal for the Aperol Spritz. My partner had the meat balls and the chicken Parma. He said they were really good as well. See less

Macelleria has provided one of the best dining experiences I've had to date. Our table orded around 10 steaks and they were all perfectly cooked and well seasoned. I recommend the Scotch fillet cooked rare. Sides and drinks were also amazing - I highly recommend the sweet potato wedges! Customer service and vibes are also on point. I will be back! Best steak in Richmond no doubt. I was a frequent customer at Macelleria Richmond and I have always had a great experience, except when the owner is there. Both times he was rude, condescending, the atmosphere was tense and he was scolding staff left and right. I haven’t been back with my family since, and if we go again I will call in advance to make sure the owner is not there. This is one of those times when micromanaging and hoovering can really ruin the experience making the staff and customers awfully uncomfortable. See less

Great for a casual steak dinner. We ordered the scotch fillet and Wagyu rump with sweet potato wedges and mash. The rump came quite underdone and the waiters apologised and took it back. Sweet potato wedges are fantastic and a must have! The mash was average, a bit bland and buttery - wouldn't order it again. See less

Amazing value for money and the steak are cooked to perfection. I asked for medium rare and was presented with a juicy and tender steak, no complains whatsoever! Even the sides (chips and salads) are simple and satisfying. I've been recommended here by a few friends and I can see why. A bustling spot that is casual and fun, this is where I'll return when I'm craving for steak. See less

T-Bone - Eye Fillet - Seasonal Greens - Sweet Potato Wedges So - we arrived one Friday night for a booking only to see a sign saying “closed early”. After expressing my disappointment, management offered me some credit to come back for dinner on the house, which was communicated very professionally and appreciated. The menu is very small so I was hoping for them to nail everything. The steaks were okay, mine was unfortunately undercooked (rare). I ate half and filled myself up on the wedges which were nice. Excellent food as per previous visits. But on Sun 7 March we dined and out waitress could not understand us and it took three times before she got it right and even then we were not confident. But then to top it off we were charged a 10% surcharge because it was the weekend! What the hell I thought restaurants were struggling. I know some add them on public holidays but on a normal weekend that is unacceptable. See less

I Had a quick dinner in this southern Italy style steakhouse. The concept is simple: choose what you want most from the butcher's counter and they will cook it for you at the moment (in Apulia, the historic centers are full of butchers who also make grilled meat). Good and compact selection of wines that go well with meat and the negroni cocktail was generous. Attentive staff even if the evening was almost over. I'll be back See less
