It's quicker to catch your own fish. What a disappointing experience, if I could make this review zero I would. We ordered 2 crumbed fish dinner packs, the lady serving us was lovely but failed to take a name (which is how their walkin order system works). She advised it would be a 25 wait. We came back at the requested time and our order wasn't even on the board, when we asked the front desk woman, she tried to find out when the order was due and the owner said it would be ready when it's ready. Another customer came to get their order and apparently they'd given his order to someone else. They blamed that person rather than taking the blame, even saying it's such a long wait sometimes people don't wait. They continued to take orders, saying it was a 45 minute wait, when obviously it was longer. It was over an hour when we finally received our food, it wasn't worth the wait, there was no lemon and no chicken salt on the greasy and soggy chips, the pasta salad was bland. While the amount of food was reasonable for $15.00, I won't be returning. See less

I consider myself a repeat customer at this take away in Kippax. Food has always been great and service good. Tonight I decided to get some takeaway, so picked up the phone and placed my order for the pizza that I normally get. Just a little after 8pm I went in and collected my order and drove home (by this time the shop management was in the process of closing for the night). Upon opening the pizza box I discovered that the pizza was not what I had ordered. I decided to call back (approximately 8:27pm...just 3 minutes before the shop closes for the night), to let them know that I received an incorrect order. I spoke to the owner who was extremely apologetic for the mistake and offered to make me another pizza (even though they had closed for the night). I was very touched and impressed by the customer service that was shown to me. So not only is the food great, but after the service that I received tonight, I have to say that this place has exceptional customer service as well. 👍👍 Keep up the great work and making yummy food. Edit: Wow, thanks for such a courteous and professional response. You're an asset to any public relations team. Will be happy to try you again! First visit, last visit. Ordered a pizza with chicken bacon and pineapple which is a "BBQ chicken" from their menu minus mushrooms and onion. A BBQ chicken costs $14 and they charged me $19. I left and double checked the menu as that seemed high, confirmed it should be $14 so went back in and asked about it. They said I "ordered wrong" and in the same breath queried how much change I received as though I was trying to cheat them. I paid with Apple pay so no change involved! The place also smelled faintly of homeless people, I don't know if that came from the other clientele or the shop itself. Whichever it is, not going back. Just moved to the area and scoping out what's going to be my regular takeaway place and it isn't this one, will have to keep looking. The actual pizza was nice enough, a 6/10 I would say, so giving a 2nd star. See less

*EDIT: The owner clarified that there is a coeliac friendly chip fryer* Great chips, fast service. They offer gluten free fish options [however no separate deep fryer for chips if you are highly gluten sensitive (that I could see)]. Reliably good takeaway! See less

Amazing. Favourite take-out hands down. Friendly owners and staff, great food. And just a really nice environment for Aussie take-out. There's even a sweet little set-up for the little ones when they come in with parents so they don't get bored or hyper... just a genuinely amazing people. Best scallops in Australia too :) See less

Lovely pizza with the perfect base and perfect amount of topic and the cheese is quality! Unfortunately we had our order lost in translation which meant we had to wait an extra 30 minutes with only a small offer of compensation. Will still visit again soon! See less

Good pizzas and garlic breads. The fish and chips are pre battered and they dont cook them hot enough or long enough most of the time. When you are in competition with 2 other pizza places within 100 meters you'd hope the pizza was outstanding but its just ok. I only come here to support local. See less

I have never had a bad meal here, and I've had quite a few! Real pizza, not that cardboard stuff from the big chain stores, with just the right amount of everything and a perfect base. The fish and chips are always cooked just right, and you get lots of it. And the potato scallops...yum! Honestly, I think it's the best take away in Canberra. See less
