Service is decent, but the business is extremely stingy. The portions are fairly sub-standard for the price you are paying when comparing to other KBBQ places in greater Sydney. What is shocking, is that side dish top ups cost extra beyond the first refill. Like seriously, you are asking $5 for kimchi? This is just absurd, especially when we are dining in a group of 8+ and spending a lot already on the main. Would definitely not recommend. See less

Visited the restaurant tonight in a large group of people. Despite making a sizable order we were told that because we had not ordered enough meat they would not allow us to use both burners. Our table was forced to stand up and shuffle around so we could all cook our food. Keep in mind our bill equated to over $500. Service was generally quite poor. Had visited this restaurant previously and it was a completely different experience compared to what it is now. Avoid this restaurant if you care about good service and value for your dollar. Will definitely not be returning. See less

Lovely food and dinner. After hearing about this place a few times we thought we would check it out and don't regret it. Not being familiar with Korean BBQ, it's great to have somewhere local with such variety and quality in a tasty different dinner. All of the side dishes that came with our meat combo were also delicious. Give it a go, was very enjoyable. See less

Not the best experience, please keep in mind that I had never done Korean BBQ before. The service was Meh, the food was ok I guess. Table too small for 4 ppl. No one seemed to have a good sense of humour or customer service. I wouldn't go again I really didn't enjoy the experience of cooking my meal on a small fire pit and no knives or anything sharp to cut the meat. 2 stars is kinda generous tbh. See less

I'm coming back to this place!!! Friendly service, delicious food, amazing experience overall. My partner and I haven't eaten Korean bbq before and they kindly explained to us how to cook the meat and what all the other dishes were. This place is ok we have been here a couple of times, my husband is the Korean bbq fan and he enjoys his meals here. They need to change their posters on the window so that the price you pay matches with whats advertised as I was overcharged for our meals so be mindful to check your bill. See less

Stopped here to have lunch, after a morning at the Australian Reptile Zoo. Wife and I both got the bulgolgi lunch box, and some fried prawns. The food was quick to arrive, service was good, restaurant was clean. We were both impressed with the taste and quantity! See less

This is the beat korean BBQ in town. Staff are very friendly and looking after the customer! Food came out pretty fast and we will definitely coming back. We even drove to gosford from Newcastle only to have dinner in this place!! See less

First time eating at Mapo Galbi but, not my first Korean BBQ. Don't come here if you're use to the usual large variety of options at a typical Korean BBQ like Korean Fried Chicken or Tteokbboki. Felt rushed with meat constantly being put on the grill and staff hovering. Best to call ahead and make a reservation or take a drive to Hornsby if you're in the mood for some real bulgogi. See less
