Go-to place for authentic south indian food in Melbourne. Sambar (yellow lentils cooked with tamarind and a dash jaggery along with other spices) is the closest to the taste of sambar you would get at an Udupi restaurant in India. We always start with idli and vada dipped in sambar followed by different dosas every time. Cheese chilli garlic dosa has precise amout of ingredients and it is one of my favourites. Also, tried veg thali (only on the weekends between 11am and 3pm) recently and loved it absolutely. Rassam was ❤️. Staff is friendly. Service is usually good though can get sluggish during busy times. Highly recommended. See less

My family eats here at least twice a week! The idli is seriously the best in the south east! Their butter chicken is flipping amazing too! So many delicious dishes I could recommend. The place is often busy around 7pm onwards but worth the wait. No other Indian restaurant in Casey compares to the tasty food of Masala Dosa however they could do with a restaurant makeover. Don't judge the place based on their decor, try the food. It's delicious! See less

Masala Dosa in cranbourne is the best Indian restaurant I've been to, the masala dosa taste incredible tho there sauce are inconsistent at times and there indiy is by far the best tasting and quality I've ever tried. Have been eating here twice a week at least there food is just amazing. If your looking for a great India restaurant I highly recommend this place it is simply the best, keep up the great work guys 😁 5 out of 5 stars 👍🏾 See less

Excellent ambience. The food is always very tasty here.Paneer butter masala,Butter chicken, Fried rice,Kotthu roti are my favourites in this shop,no one can beat them in their taste and freshness and their Biryani is my all time favourite.When the shop is busy,it will take some time but I will understand that they are also people like us and we need to have bit of patience. It was a really wonderful experience to dine in at Masala Dosa, in Cranbourne. We, as a family enjoyed the night and dinner. I was amazed how my kids were fond of the taste which we felt authentic South Indian. The place was quite busy, most people taking away. It was a Sunday night, of course, but as we waited to be served, having seen the number of orders they delivered within that short span had given us a heads up about how delicious the food would be. And when it arrived, our hopes weren’t in vain at all. We were also impressed by the calm and non-judgmental approach and attitude of the man in the counter. The taste of the food took us to nostalgic memories of South-Indian food courts ! It was good value for the money for us. See less

Tasty food , the Gobi Manchurian and poori masala were really good . They have been around for about 7 + yrs and have worked out a method where they serve atleast 1 dish per table so that you are not left waiting for your entire order to arrive . The place was crowded as is to expected on a sat evening .. take away seemed to fly off the shelves . Dine in may be q good option if you come in a little early around the 6 30 pm mark . I’ve ordered takeaway food few times. Place was so busy but the food came up quickly. Truly appreciate this place. Food was so so good. Complements to the chef and the owner. I had cravings for Indian food and I have been Visiting many places nearby, but this is the place for dosa and Biriyani. Had their chicken Biriyani and it was so good. Also the Dosas and one of favorites is Undu Vada. They’re so freaking fresh and crispy. Food are very fresh, very tasty and cheap than all the places I’ve been visited for Indian food. Their takeaway packages are very good and food was so fresh and hot until I come home. Can’t wait to come and dine in soon. Cheers to the Owners and hard work staff ❤️✌️ See less

Good restaurant to try South Indian Dosas and vegetarian cuisine. I can easily make out that the Parathas the restaurant serves are majorly frozen . This may be due to the large number of orders as couple of times i had to eat frozen parathas which were heated up and once only i got the fresh ones. The owners are hard working and maintaining the premises neat and clean. See less

One the best spot, if you are looking for an authentic South Indian cuisine. Best part I like is that food is pretty close to home-made style. Price is very affordable and you won’t regret visiting this place. Biriyani and meals are the best and hot selling dishes. Butter chicken dish is my family’s favourite.
