Wonderful food and service! I had the satay chicken and I wish I had ordered a second one because I just loved the flavour so much I wanted more! I also had fried ice cream which was great! They were very busy but still made time for our table of 2. Very friendly staff and delicious food. I recommend this place 10/10

Food was good quality which is few and far between with most of the Chinese restaurants I've gone to. I will happily order from here again and from what I've seen of the interior it is a well presented layout recommend for anyone looking for somewhere new to go

Since new owners William and his wife took over the restaurant the food has not only been excellent but the price is very reasonable and the service amazing. You cannot beat their lunch time special which is a decent serve comes with either plain or fried rice and vegetables. I've tried a lot of their dishes and all have been tasty and really enjoyable so can heartily recommend. A huge change from the previous owners whose food was tasteless and quite expensive. It's a large Chinese restaurant with beautiful and comfortable decor.

Seriously the yummiest Chinese with the most friendly staff. They cater to dietary requirements and all the veg, meat and seafood are super fresh. I come down from the South just to come here. Highly recommend!!

We used to eat here about 5 years ago. The food then was fantastic. Then it changed hands several years ago and went downhill. We found another restaurant (shanghai palace at northpark) About 3 years ago and visited there regularly until the owners retired About 3 months ago,it is now an Indian restaurant, so we thought we would give Mawson lakes restaurant another go. Unfortunately the service is very poor ,waited 15 minutes for someone to ask if we would like to order !! I said how about drinks first then we will order.(We were the ONLY customers in restaurant!!!) Badly need training in serving customers !! The floor had noodles spilt on it and other pieces of rice,obviously not cleaned up after the lunch session. Food was passable but nothing to pass on to others

Absolutely delicious, so fresh, plenty of prawns in the curry king prawn dish, the entrees (fried dim sim, spring rolls and satay beef) yummy as was the special fried rice, will go back there no worries at all.

Staff were very helpful and friendly to suggest us dishes. Complementary crackers were awesome. Ambience is good as well. Price is very reasonable for the portion size served. Portion size for fried rice we ordered was big. It was enough for 2 people. Good vegetarian options as well. Staff were happy to change menu for our vegetarian preference. I would definitely visit again.

Thank you so much for your amazing service for my wife's 80th birthday celebration. The new owner William is very kind and friendly and nothing was too hard for him - even catering for the grandchildren and vegetarians and gluten free among our friends. All those who attended had a great time and were very happy with the abundance of food brought out for the banquet and commented on how delicious it was. Thank you! We definitely recommend.

Fantastic service, We loved the Cuisine, William and Mary the New Owners cater for every need. I am Vegetarian and My food was tasty and of the same quality as Everyone Else's, which is important. They also have nice non alcoholic drinks, and fresh desserts. We are planning to go back again. I love the decor and tasteful music plays.

After reading all the negative reviews on this Chinese restaurant I had to give it a go for myself. To begin with, a lot of the reviews are exaggerated and poorly written. I last visited this restaurant many years ago when it first opened, now not much has changed since I last went but it was quite an authentic experience compared to many other restaurants that offer the same food around Mawson Lakes & surrounding. The food was great, I tried 3 different meals to make sure it wasn’t just the one great lucky meal. Sweet & Sour Pork and Fried Hokkien Noodles Combination lived up to their standards. Nothing out of this world but nothing negative, they both hit the sweet spot for me, quite literally. The Salt & Pepper Squid however was a great try, different to what you’d imagine. The squid was in a fried fluffy ball, however more squid could have been inside each piece/less batter. I definitely will be back here again to try the rest of this menu. Thanks, Cameron

The only thing this place does well is reminding me why it's a mistake to order from here. The rice was loose and dry like it had been warming all day. The black pepper beef had way, way too much black pepper, to the point that it was inedible. The lemon chicken was a piece of fried chicken breast sliced with a side of watery lemon sauce. Overpriced; bad value for money.
