Had dinner here last night (30/12/21) and really loved the food. The service was also really good seeing they were obviously busy.
We hadn't been here before so we were super keen to give it a try. Who doesn't like middle eastern cuisine cooked right?
The staff were really pleasant and seated us promptly. Our menus and first round of drinks arrived quickly which was nice.
We ordered the - Mecca Bah Mezze Plate which comprised of toasted Turkish bread, green hummus, feta mixed with sun-dried tomatoes, baba ghanoush, pickled turnip, stuffed eggplant & fresh basturma. It was sooooooo yummy. DEFINETLY give this a try as an entrée, you'll thank us later.
For mains my partner ordered the - The Middle Eastern ‘Surf & Turf’. That comprised of marinated garlic prawns, slow braised pulled beef topped with aged cheddar & mozzarella on a bed of homemade kofta sauce. OMG, to die for!
I ordered the - Mixed Kebab Grill. That comprised of 2 x chargrilled garlic chicken & tsire spiced lamb skewers served with their homemade creamy mint yoghurt, harissa pomegranate glaze, pilaf (rice) & citrus. Really nice, however, if you're hungry, this will NOT fill you as a main.
For desert we ordered a slice of baclava with a scoop of ice-cream. As with anything, everyone has their version of how to make it. On this occasion we found it too big as far as pastry was concerned and the filling dry and chewy. The ice cream saved the day as it added some moisture to it in your mouth.
All in all, a lovely experience. Total bill was $148 for two people and that included a few rounds of drinks each. We'll be back See less
