You can’t miss Mercadante Woodfired Pizzaeria if you’re at Lygon St with their gorgeous bright pink interior 💓 They also serve one of the best wood fired pizzas I’ve ever tried, check out how this tasty pizza was made! I also loved their risotto. It was creamy, PERFECTLY seasoned & has amazing texture 😚🤌🏼 The staffs were lovely & special shoutout to Joe for showing me his flying pizza dough! Cute pizzeria with pink dominant interior with woodfired oven which translates to great pizza! We had: 🍝Squid ink Marinara. Squid Ink pasta, prawns, squids, scallops & mussels. 🌟Olive oil based, perfect for the non-saucy pasta lovers or purists!! generous and juicy seafood. Such a lovely vibe this place is ! Pink and cheerful , great for parties too. Love the yummy pizza with fresh toppings . So generous . And the pasta so chock full of seafood . Perfect lunch for two and I cannot move after that. Try it and you would love this pizzeria in Carlton . See less

It's a lot of competition for Italian food on Lygon Street but Mercadente fits right in! It has a super funky, PINK-themed vibe whilst giving off the Italian homely vibes in their extensive menu. We loved the fresh drinks! The juiciness of the fried calamari was delicious, and loved the tangy, spicy flavour of the peri peri chicken pizza which was very generously loaded with chicken. Enjoyed everything we had from here. Loved having the pizza with chilli oil & with their pasta you are able to choose what type of pasta you would like, and we opted for fettuccini on our Seafood Pasta. It had such generous amount of seafood in it 😊🥰 My favourite ❤️ would have to go to the Chocolate 🍫 pizza! It was chefs kiss* 😗👌🏻 Never had anything like it!! See less

Tasty Italian cuisine on Lygon st, we ordered a couple of wood fired pizzas and gnocchi. We loved the Salsiccia pizza with pesto base, mozzarella, pork & fennel sausage, red onion, rosemary potato & rocket, perfect combo!! Gnocchi was delicious as well. The prettiest pink restaurant you’ll find in Carlton. Absolutely loved everything we ordered. The pizza was perfectly light and crispy with delicious flavours. Pasta had a good kick of chilli which kept us coming back for more and the Nutella pizza was 100/10! Very good food, friendly team and a relaxed and vibey setting. Will be back for sure. See less

It’s right next to Universal, and their new Pink Facelift makes them hard to miss! ✨✌🏻😍💞💖 All the pizzas we ordered were prepared with care and servings were incredibly generous!! The seafood pasta was ridiculously huge. Had Christmas dinner here with colleagues. Nice place, yummy foods and friendly staff. The only thing i was not happy about was the service. It takes them ages to serve. Almost one hour between entree, main and dessert. No, not again. See less

We were so excited to try their menu, we got their BBQ Grilled pizza 🍕 for main which had chicken, sausages, bbq sauce & spring onion. The pizza base was perfectly cooked, nice thickness which gave that good balance of crispiness and chewiness. The toppings were great too, who would’ve known that spring onion works well on a pizza?? 🤤 For dessert we shared their famous chocolate pizza with nutella, ice cream, marshmallows and M&M, which was meant to feed 4 people 😱 but we finished them between us anyway! 😂 The dish presentation was so unique, kinda reminded us of Jenga. We love how we could easily eat them using our fingers and lick the nutella off them afterwards 😋 We paired the pizza with some yummy cocktails and the dessert with lattes. Everything was so amazing & delicious, we can definitely see ourselves eating here again or getting takeaways/deliveries! See less

This spot has caught our eyes with its cute pink vibes! Visited last weekend, thoroughly enjoyed the wood-fired seafood pizza and lasagna. Generous portion of seafood - especially loving those fresh & juicy prawns🤤 Can’t wait to be back and try out more dishes. Have heard their nutella pizza is a must. See less
