TL:DR Stick to pizzas, dessert and drinks. Mains are not tasty and overpriced.
I've been to Molto a number of times now and I think it's a bit overpriced. The first time it was lovely, but since then, I just haven't been wowed by the food. The service has been good. Drinks are always especially nice.
Food breakdown for this visit:
Fried calamari and prawns: The batter was light and crunchy. The mayo was tangy and a good complement.
Focaccia with ricotta: A very large serving and very filling. Quite good.
Potato pizza: I usually like the pizzas here. Great taste but there is still room for improvement.
However this time, the pizza was a let down. The base was soggy. I'm used to a potato pizza with very thin potato slices and no cheese or a little bit of mozzarella on top. This one came with very thick slices of potato, and didn't have the magic of a potato pizza that I am used to. The potatoes were tasty but something lacklustre about the pizza as a whole. I wondered if they just slice up the same roast potato used for mains dishes, and then strew it on top to make a potato pizza.
Main course of snapper: The snapper was rubbery and really terrible. The veges underneath were ok: some beetroot strips and 2 slices of zucchini flavoured with the tang of a lemon slice next to it. There was also a slice of celeriac with some white puree.
Dessert: This was chocolate cheesecake with ice cream, topped with a lace caramel whorl. I would give it a 10/10 but I got a skin of undissolved gelatin in the desert. Not that complex to make so you could probably make at home. I give it 8/10. See less
