A disappointing overall experience. The greeting upon arrival was appalling, with no welcome and no smile or eye contact. It turned out that the person was the owner. Our table service was better, thanks to Anastasia, who did a great job. The food started well with Arancini Balls and Figs stuffed with Gorgonzola and wrapped in Prosciutto. The mains were a mixed bag. The Pasta dish was very tasty but the Rib Eye Steak was the worst I have ever experienced. It was thin, without flavour and tough with sinew and gristle. The positive was that the received the feedback in in good grace and refunded half the cost of the dish. We finished with an Affogato, which was delightful. It is a shame that two small things ruined the overall experience. See less

Had the prawn tempura salad, ragu pappardelle, squid ink linguine and the signature tiramisu. I would love stronger espresso to blend in with the tiramisu but actually the whole experience was really pleasant. See less

Best Italian food in ages! Love this restaurant, we come here everytime we go to Canberra, as it is so hard to find an Italian restaurant that cooks traditional food that does not break the bank in Sydney. Great pasta, great pizza's, great service and great Italian wine selection. But book in advance to ensure you get a table. See less

A lively place with plenty of atmosphere and modern character. The food I had on my visit was fresh and cooked to perfection. The menu is varied and offers a good range of Italian dishes, and for those that want to dine outside of the Italian framework make sure you check the specials board. Service was quick and the waiting staff were friendly, knowledgeable and smartly dressed. If you're after a fab dining experience with an Italian flavour take this place for a test drive. See less

Great location, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. We had the polenta chips which were really nice and hot, and the sauce was tasty. The pasta we had was made in the cheese bowl which was a nice bit of theatre, and it tasted great too although it was a bit on the heavy side, but that was expected since it's all cheese. I would go again! But I do admit it is expensive! See less

Food was delicious and the service was exceptional. My serving size for the lamb ragu was a little on the small size, but the chocolate tort was amazing and saved the day - it was also beautifully presented! See less

This is by far the most delicious food in Canberra. I've eaten here a number of times and it's been 100% meals AND service every time. Last Saturday we had a booking for 4 and a last minute a +1, and for a busy evening it was not an issue for the staff to arrange extra seating in an almost packed out dining room. Everyone at our table was completely satisfied with their meals and the portion sizes, in fact my risotto was the best I'd ever had in my life. Fact. I am in awe of the staff and they way the kitchen runs so smoothly, and the staff always have a smile. Simply love this place. Thanks guys and keep up the excellent work. See less

My partner and I came here for our anniversary last year, the service felt quite abrupt and hostile. While looking at the menu the prices seem fine however the portions are quite small. We ended up ordering double and neither of us are big eaters. The food was okay but I’m not sure if we’d eat here again. See less

TL:DR Stick to pizzas, dessert and drinks. Mains are not tasty and overpriced. I've been to Molto a number of times now and I think it's a bit overpriced. The first time it was lovely, but since then, I just haven't been wowed by the food. The service has been good. Drinks are always especially nice. Food breakdown for this visit: Fried calamari and prawns: The batter was light and crunchy. The mayo was tangy and a good complement. Focaccia with ricotta: A very large serving and very filling. Quite good. Potato pizza: I usually like the pizzas here. Great taste but there is still room for improvement. However this time, the pizza was a let down. The base was soggy. I'm used to a potato pizza with very thin potato slices and no cheese or a little bit of mozzarella on top. This one came with very thick slices of potato, and didn't have the magic of a potato pizza that I am used to. The potatoes were tasty but something lacklustre about the pizza as a whole. I wondered if they just slice up the same roast potato used for mains dishes, and then strew it on top to make a potato pizza. Main course of snapper: The snapper was rubbery and really terrible. The veges underneath were ok: some beetroot strips and 2 slices of zucchini flavoured with the tang of a lemon slice next to it. There was also a slice of celeriac with some white puree. Dessert: This was chocolate cheesecake with ice cream, topped with a lace caramel whorl. I would give it a 10/10 but I got a skin of undissolved gelatin in the desert. Not that complex to make so you could probably make at home. I give it 8/10. See less

One of the best Italian restaurants in canberra. Whilst we were canberra had the chance to try the food here. The pasta was amazing and well seasoned. Even the pizza was well baked with lots of feeling. The price of the place reflects on the quality of the food, the truffle pasta cost $50. If you're in canberra do stop by in molto, the food is amazing See less

Friendly and hospitable and warm Staff. Loved the food. I got so excited at the preparation of Cacio e Pepe that forgot to take the video/photo of it. As recommended by a friend cacio e pepe goes well with radicchio salad. Warm foccacia bread reminded me of home. Would love to visit again. See less

Very excellent meal. Each dish was well crafted and balanced and full of flavour, which is not very common in Canberra. I've seen other reviews complaining about rude service, but I didn't find that to be true at all. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. See less
