If you want something to fill you up, this is the place to go. The interior of the restaurant has a good atmosphere and with a booth layout, it's a good place to have a chat over a meal. See less

Went there for a birthday with 12 people, service was slow and not great. Meals were very staggered (first two meals were finished before our third meal came out), the food was very bland and tasted like it had been sitting there for ages and just reheated. We were practically rushed out the door as soon as finished eating even though they weren't supposed to close for nearly an hour. Definitely won't be back we were all very disappointed! See less

My wife and I have been long time fans of Montezuma’s since back in the 90s. We don’t go there nearly as much as we did when we lived close by, but it has always been somewhere we have gone for an enjoyable meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu hasn’t changed much in all these years, and we can still order our old favourites. They’re not the same as they used to be, but we still have a very enjoyable meal for a reasonable price. It was nice to note when we went there to celebrate a birthday recently that they now have table service for drinks as well as food. table service is a lost art. The staff were efficient when we were there, but the feel has changed from when we first went there...or maybe we have changed. See less

I’m not writing many bad reviews but after being here and tried there food I can understand the many bad reviews this place receives on here. First the service was ok but slow but that was not the bad thing. I give this review only 2 stars because of the food that just tasted like reheated or just put on the plate and put in the over I ordered rice with chicken and some peanut sauce ( sauce Color looked so weird) you think it’s a pretty easy dish but when it arrives the waiter warned me that the plate is blazing hot ( the first sign that it’s just re-heated) after I tried the rice I noticed that the outside rice is so dry because they just put it all on the plate and stuffed it in the oven to reheat which dried out the rice completely. This is by far the worst Mexican food I’ve ever eaten and I can only say I really don’t recommend this place. See less

I hadn't eaten at any Montezuma's before, s a franchise I don't normally frequent any. I was pleasantly surprised, the quality of the food is exceptional, reasonably priced, lots of variety for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, staff are very helpful & friendly. Things have changed here and for the better. I have not been to Montezuma's I well ill say in a lot of years menu has changed everything is good it's all been updated a lot more to choose from definitely taste a hell of a lot better I would say if you haven't been here for such a long time because years agonies wasn't ever good.... definitely make your way here it is worth it big size meals and good portions definitely enjoyed it a lot See less

Good table service, food presented and tasted reasonable. Was expecting a bit more taste but really overall wasn’t disappointed with the meals. A few things were absent- Expected salt around the rim of margarita cocktails, more Mexican spice and beans? Liked the casual atmosphere and booths setup was good for couples/small groups and chatting. See less

Good customer service. The food was ok, my kids finished their meals and we were overall happy with our plates. I ate Mole poblano, the dish was ok but i was expecting way more flavors (it says 32 herbs and spices!). The sangria with lychees was very good. The restaurant is well decorated and there is carpark close by. There is a entertainment voucher available if you want to give a try. See less

My really fancy "23 spices, made by nuns so many many moons ago" literally tasted like nothing. Bland. No true mexican flavors what so ever. Highly disappointed. The rice was also tasteless. Hubbies had that supermarket mexican taste...you know the one....not a coriander leaf in sight??? The customer service was great! And my 5 y o like her nachos (even though it was served without sour cream? And had dry chicken..) See less

Montezuma's Delight (vegan version) and Guava Jarritos, from Montezuma's, North Adelaide - seated inside, in opulent, air-conditioned comfort.
