Tasting menu is overpriced and you’ll leave hungry. We came with visitors from interstate, previously had good experiences at Morks. We were going to order off the menu but the waiter recommended the tasting menu. The entrees were lovely, but small (to be expected), but the mains were TINY, and the desserts were MINUSCULE. The mains were one small bowl of noodles and one small bowl of duck. Then dessert comes out and it was a tasty little thing that you had to chop in half (read: size of teaspoon) between two people. $95 and I’ll have to make toast when I get home as I’m hungry. Better alternatives: order off the menu, or try Miss Van’s in the city, which has a great and generous tasting menu with comparable quality. See less

Very tasty but I just spent $95 for a tasting menu, I’ve had $2 noodles that were more filling. Left the restaurant hungry. Don’t fall for the same trap of spending $95 pp for a tasting menu. Big mistake See less

I used to love this restaurant. Beautiful, elevated Thai cuisine with great service. The service on our last visit was good but some of the wait staff unfortunately lacked attention to detail. Noting we were a party of five, we ended up with several different dishes that came in serving sizes of four. At no point did the waitstaff think to recommend that we maybe double the portions so everybody could sample each dish. Needless to say, some of us missed out on sampling. Also, with share plates, to serve mains at $60 a pop with 4 thumb sized batons of fish is not amazing. We are all foodies including our friend visiting from London and know restaurants have done it tough. But this wasn’t a post pandemic business model change - this was simply taking the customer for granted :-( I hope the restaurant takes this review on board and implements some changes - until then, I will not be going back. Had the $95 set menu. At the start, when the first couple of dishes came out, I was concerned that we would walk out hungry. But at the end of the meal, I was feeling well fed. The food was beautifully cooked and nicely presented. The staff obviously cared about our experience and were keen to announce and discuss each dish as it arrived. Great to see they're reopened post-lockdown. I've probably been to Morks 15 times over 10 years and would say it has the most consistently excellent service and food quality each time. The tasting menu was $95 and is one of the best dining experiences in town. See less

Yes takeout! What I loved was how fresh everything was. Pork buns were perfect. Chicken was crispy and delicately spiced. Fried eggplant with plum sauce and greens was a favourite. Even the fried rice was the best I’ve had. So well done Morks team in these tough times. Highly recommended. See less

The food was alright. I think they have overdone the garnish as it felt like a coriander plus mint salad in every dish. The soft shell crab was good and very crunchy. The eggplant was also very crispy and tasted good. The 12 hour beef short rib is really good though and flavours blend. The fried rice was nothing special. First time there and won't be the last. Read some of the reviews and took the recommendations into account when selecting... Pork bun, soft shell crab, massaman curry, Angel prawns and coconut ice cream with pashmak to share. OMG. We will make our way through the menu as we only just moved in upstairs... See less
