I have been here for the sports bar and the restaurant. Both were fantastic. The friends we were dining with didn't eat much and the waiter seemed genuinely concerned that we didn't like the food. That was nice but a little awkward because the food is delicious. See less

We went here for Christmas day, my sister booked it and she was told there was lots of vegan options. When we got there we asked what was vegan and we were shown the sides that was it. All we had was rice, potatoes, pumpkin and green beans. For a Christmas lunch it was awful it was cold too. We paid $120 each for sides and one dessert but it wasn't very nice. We also had to pay $120 for my husband son who was 12 and he hardly ate anything. We did complain and they brought us rolls, vegan cheese and vegan mayo but that was awful. I couldn't eat it. Won't go back again, also the kids said the meats were tough and cold. We won't be going back. See less

Popped in for lunch , had the Mosaic platter and pork belly . Myself and my friends are foodies and the meals were of top quality , fresh and every bite had great flavours kept us guessing . Service was 10/10 lovely Asian lady looked after us all the way . We will go there again and again . See less

Great service but meals and cocktails are overpriced for what they are. My drink tasted like straight lemon juice and alcohol. We were expecting pub meals which are reasonably priced with more generous portions. I think this place is trying to do fine dining but should maybe stick to being a pub. See less

Went there today and was welcomed in by Liam and seated. Then Liam proceed to take our Food and drink orders . Before we knew it we had our drinks and meal. We both had the rump steak it was cooked perfectly and melted in our mouths. Highly recommend food and friendly staff. We will be back! See less

Loved the refurbished dining area. Service was fast. Staff very pleasant and obliging. We attended at lunch time. The menu was sufficient with several choices. The entree bowl of super foods and grilled chicken was huge and extremely delicious. I did not have sweets myself however others in the dining room did. Looking at them from a distance I could see the the serve was more than ample and were all being thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks Mosaic and staff. We will be back soon. Xx See less

The new Mosaic Hotel, arising out of the ashes of the old Checkside Tavern has undergone a fabulous revamp and now sports a modern bistro with wonderful furnishings and more importantly, delicious food! The gaming entrance is a little bit on the creepy side, but I’m sure that will be improved shortly! Overall, an incredible dining experience. See less

Funky upgrade to the venue's surrounds (previously Checkmate Hotel), clean environment with great adherence to Covid-19 restrictions without destroying the relaxed vibe. Delicious meals (Atlantic salmon and Scotch fillet), wide range of boutique Gin and cocktails, friendly, accommodating and attentive staff. Kat our waitress excelled herself; always had a smile and provided outstanding customer service. See less
