Just because you add some roasted capsicum and a bit of eggplant to the salad doesn't mean your chicken Parmigianino is worth $37. The prawns were overcooked. others at the table ordered an entre we didn't that doesn't mean my 4yo should have to wait a ridiculous amount of time. Maybe they should reduce table numbers if they cannot manage orders in a timely fashion. I wasn't very hungry, I had a big lunch so I shared a meal with my son. Only costs a few bucks to add some chips to the dish, so why not when all your competitors do? My son was ravenous by the time the food came. Do these people even make their own pasta because borsa pasta do ... So if they want to charge these prices the pasta better be made fresh. Save yourself some dollars and go to brunelli. The waiter promised the children ice cream but never gave it to them. Don't offer something you can't deliver to a child. They were so disappointed, they tried so hard to be quiet so they could get ice cream. My card was overcharged so even though the waiters were good they were unable to do what they were told with the EFTPOS. I said put $20 on my card, I had the rest in cash so now my friend has to pay me back. See less

Well, what a discovery! We were invited to Nona and I by best friends to participate in one of their (typically pretty large) family celebrations. My wife and I hadn't been to Nona and I before because it lies on the other side of our city. But wow, aside from the event being great, the food Nona and I prepared was beyond just good - it was spectacular. On finishing as much of my main course of beef cheeks that could be humanly retrieved with knife and fork, I found myself unashamedly asking for a spoon. I was not going to waste so much as one precious drop of this sensationally tasty dish, cooked to melt in your mouth. And the family atmosphere of this restaurant moves it from excellent to perfect. If like me, you live a distance from Kensington, never let distance deter you. Any travel, no matter how far, to eat at Nona and I is absolutely worth it. See less

Food was okay, service was good - but my parents and I got sick after eating at the restaurant. For 2 days we had all the symptoms of food poisoning - was not fun. Update 22 Apr 2022: Just had a call with the owner. He was very understanding and sincere. Wanted to track the problem. I've changed from 1 star to 2 stars. See less

Have tried many Italians in Adelaide and Nonna & I is absolutely our top 5. We tried his prawns & scallops pasta and vongole linguine, both are great, especially white source very creamy. We have to come back to try the famous need cheeks! Also, their Creme Caramel is a Must Try, out of expectation great! Thank you for this great dinner. See less

Nona & I was the first restaurant we went to in Adelaide and left us wanting more. Our waiter was incredibly welcoming and friendly, he made our experience phenomenal. His knowledge of the menu and wine was impressive, whilst his presence made our experience that much more comforting in an unfamiliar city. Incredible food and amazing service from Nonna's charismatic waiters. Despite its clean and family-themed interior, I was not a personal fan of the aesthetic of some of the rooms inside the restaurant. However, the beautiful mural in a darker room was extremely appealing. See less

I have now had the pleasure of both a takeaway pizza and dining in here. Pizza dough is the best around. Chef Khalil made our family feel very welcomed tonight in our first dinner out in years. Happily catered for 4 kids (and entertained them with his banter!). The beef cheeks are simply melt on the fork delicious. Thank you! See less

Prawn and Veal are the best đź‘Ś Spaghetti lacking meat and underseasoned. Marinara very salty. Prawns and scallops- ordinary. Parmigiana- alright like pub food. Creme Caramel -very eggy no caramel so dry. Ice cream kids 2 scoops no sprinkles and toppings they charge us 20, 10 dollars each, we thought it was a compliment given to the kids as we were waiting for quite a while. We could have known better and should have ordered the kids sundae for 5 dollars with toppings and sprinkles. But saying this, they are trying their best to make you at ease! See less

Nonna would be disappointed Let’s start with the only positive of the dinner which was the friendly waiter. He was welcoming and bubbly! Now, when the first thing that gets brought out to you are brown, overcooked chips, you’re already questioning the decision to stay for mains. I think even the waiter was embarrassed to put them on the table. Our starter of fried calamari was a bit rubbery which was only just saved with the moistness of the dipping sauce from the chips. The signature dishes were average and very overpriced. The chicken rosanno was all sauce with minimal chicken and mash while the beef cheek was on par with a pub beef cheek for $27. The decision was made to go to a nearby ice cream shop instead of getting a dessert from here. Unfortunately the negative reviews are pretty accurate on this occasion. I was hoping for so much more but left disappointed and as a local, will not be back. See less

My mum and I went there today for lunch. We arrived at 1.00pm and decided to have the 3 courses even though they were supposed to close at 2.00pm. Khalil assured me it was fine but he had to leave at 3.00pm. What can I say. It was a beautiful meal and well presented. The platter was so yummy with lots of things on it. For mains my mum had the flounder and I had the prawn and scallop pasta which we shared. Gee it was no nice. And we finished with a beautiful Affogato. The wine was pretty good too. Khalil made us feel right at home and was very inviting and friendly. We will definitely go back again. See less

Absolutely incredible service. Highest quality food. Fantastic atmosphere. I have been back here multiple times and it keeps living up to the high standards it has set for itself. Chef Khalil gave us the most wonderful service, he even custom designed dishes to fit our culinary requirements, and was just an all around hilarious and fantastic person the entire time. There is a fantastic range of meat dishes, seafood dishes, vegetarian dishes, and an entire page of Vegan dishes! I can not recommend this place enough. See less

We had a great time and enjoyed the experience, will be back. We had a family lunch there today. Chef Khalil welcomed us back - we last visited more than a year ago, and a couple of times at the old location. Service is excellent. Food is great and the menu is extensive. Dishes are made from fresh ingredients and all uniquely spiced; Italian or Italian inspired. The wine list is fine - I am not an expert - and there are other drink options as well. There is a 3 course deal, which puts a limit on what you pay for food. The menu would benefit from drink recommendations. See less

We are so lucky to have such an amazing restaurant in the suburbs of Adelaide. An amazing chef Khalil who takes pride in his dishes and very personable to his customers making for a great atmosphere. A memorable meal but no room for dessert this time. All staff were friendly and helpful in suggesting dishes- the beef cheeks were amazing. We will be back soon! See less
