We came on Sunday 1 May. Literally the best meal and service I've had in a long time. Vegan sausage pizza was delicious, vegan lasagna was insane, and my sister ordered the vegan GF penne alla vodka which was also delicious. The two girls working were hustling like mad, and the restaurant was full, but the service was impeccable. Never missed a beat, everything came out fast and exactly as we ordered. Honestly my mind is blown, and definitely no nightmares in sight! See less

First time trying it out and loved it! We ordered the Italian nightmare and Potato pizzas, we liked the potato pizza the most, there was more toppings than the Italian nightmare but really enjoyed the flavours on Italian nightmare- only feed back, more pineapple please!!! Recommend the Italian apple cider , not a sweet cider at all which was a nice change for a sweet tooth like me. The service was impeccable, everyone was lovely there. And the interior design was very minimalist and had a bougie vibe ✨ Will be back to try other pizzas 😁 I guess in the future, I would like to see more gluten free options if possible.✌️ See less

Incredible in every aspect! Warm, efficient and knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere and aesthetics. Most importantly, the food was AMAZING. We had 3 pizzas and 2 of the salads. The pizza bases were the perfect balance of crispy, bubbly and stretchy, with delicious combinations of toppings. The cheeses were top quality (we had fresh mozzarella in the salad and melted on the pizzas), so delicious. We had one vegetarian, the rest omnivores in the group, and were all blown away with how good everything was - 'I don't miss the dairy or meat at all' was one of the comments, so that's a pretty good indicator of success. We will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu! See less

We have been ordering pizza to take away for a few months now, pizzas have always been great but this week's one was quite disappointing. It was very small, not the regular size by far. For $25.5 we are expecting better quality. My wife asked me to take a picture for proof and now that I look at it, yes the pizza looks very small. We are very disappoint and felt a bit fooled. Absolutely delicious food, would have no idea that it was completely plant based. The lasagne and truffle mushroom special hit the spot. The service was so lovely too. We would love to go back. See less

Holy guacamole. Eating at Nonna’s Nightmare is a spiritual experience - like actual out of body. Every time I have eaten there, every single dish is perfection. The entrees, pizza, pasta, desserts…it is the best food you will EVER have. Also, the staff are so friendly, charismatic and go out of their way to make sure you are having a great dining experience. So far, my absolute favourites are the crumbed stuffed olives, ravioli and the pana cotta. They are to die for. If you’re in Brisbane, Nonna’s Nightmare is a must! See less

Food was delicious! The flavours were amazing and very authentic Italian. Only a couple of minor details knocked a star off. Entree: Stuffed Olives to start, shared, very nice, but deep fried. Gone are the days of deep fried foods as starters. Air fry if you must, or offer one deep fry option to cater for the oil lovers. Mains: I had the Pappardelle Al Funghi (mushroom & fat fettuccine)... Wow!! Absolutely loved it, again a little too oily for me (I probably should have said something before ordering) but I ended up ordering a second serve because the portions were small. I know, I know... some people want to believe fine dining equals small portions, but it's not the case. I also ordered a rocket salad which was nice. My Fiancé had the Amatrice pizza. I had a bit, it was very nice. She loved it. It was a good size. Desserts, Lemon Cheesecake & Panna Cotta, they too were very nice (but dessert rarely gets me excited). It was all very Italian (except the pasta portions) and the service was very fast, friendly & easy. Losing a star was down to the overuse of oil and the small pasta portions. Otherwise a lovely experience, definitely worth the visit! See less

I went here for Valentine’s Day with my beloved and has nothing short of a fantastic experience. I say ‘experience’ because not only was the food delicious (I still think about my crumbed olives) but the service was some of the best I’ve had in so so long. The staff made us feel genuinely happy to be in their presence. Thanks for a good night. See less

Expectations were high and we weren't disappointed Food is to die for with not enough adjectives to describe how good it was. Could easy bring non vegans here as the food stands out on its own without labelling it. Our waitress Sammy was a delight. Knowledgeable, friendly and very welcoming. It's our new favourite place and we live 2 hours away. See less

Excellent food. You know there isn't dairy on it, but the sauces, toppings and pizza are base are all so great. Really recommend particularly if you're after a vegetarian and dairy free option that doesn't leave you wanting See less

The taste of food was second only to the quality of service. Pizza was one of the best vegan pizzas I've ever ate and the dessert was well balanced not to sugary. I will definitely come back here. See less

Delicious food. We had a member of our party with a number of food allergies (notified in advance), and the wait-person paid great attention to this detail and carefully selected suitable options to suit our party's dietary requirements. See less

Great vegan place with some interesting pizza options. For some reason the water tasted really good in their weighted copper tumblers... Also, the vanilla panna cotta is delicious! Highly recommended! See less

Truly exceptional dining experience! Do yourselves a favour and get down to Nonna’s Nightmare ASAP. The food here is cruelty free, absolutely scrumptious and definitely satisfied my Italian comfort food craving. We had the lasagna bites entree special - so good we hope they make them a permanent menu item. I could have eaten twelve of them. Crispy, light, fennel and tomato flavours were a delight. Next up we had the potato pizza and the mushroom pasta. The pizza dough was fragrant and flavourful, the veggies fresh and bright and the ‘mozzarella’ was such a creamy treat - the rosemary oil drizzle really set it off to perfection. The real star was the creamy mushroom pasta. Light, but rich, strong mushroom flavour and perfectly cooked fresh pasta. The sprinkle of crisp breadcrumbs balanced the dish out nicely. We finished off our meal with cool, zesty cannoli, scrumptious nutty/chocolate filling and flaky, crunchy pastry shell. Not too sweet, the perfect way to round out our meal. The service was attentive, efficient and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere chic but casual. The meal was good value for money. A new West End favourite of ours - and 100% vegan to boot! Thank you for a lovely Sunday lunch, we will definitely be back. See less
