Okami in Traralgon is a wonderful and unique dining experience which always offers fantastic food and service. My family and I are regular diners and are always well looked after. We went with a 1yr old active grandson who was in a high chair. The tall blonde waitress just dumped our plate of food right in front of him to grab not once,twice or three times but 4. Each time we quickly retrieved it in front of her she was clearly aware of what she was doing. 4th time we politely asked her not to put food in front of the child her reply quite rudely was well move your stuff so I can. The food is fantastic and the experience is really nice. Order some sake and use chopsticks. The Filipina waitresses are very polite and attentive. Don't order the little fish dessert thing though, everything else is great. See less

16 people on our table. Most hadn't eaten Japanese before. Wow. what an experience. Sharing is the best thing as you get to try so many new things. Food fresh. Saff serving food excellent. What an amazing restaurant this is. Very friendly and attentive staff. Lots of food variety and yes only for $35 pp you can eat everything on the menu(if you can). I'll recommend skip the lunch before you dine in here. Every item of the menu is tasty and amazing!! Only recommendation would be different menu for different days!! So we can try various Japanese dishes every time we dine in!! Would love to see this happening! See less

Seriously amazing, totally worth taking the family too. So much good food to choose from, all the staff were uber happy and helpful. And fantastic food, really tasty and fresh. I took my 13 yo son here for his birthday with his 11yo brother and 2 x 12 yo friends and they all loved it, could not get enough of the food and trying all the different meals. Went for a celebration dinner night with my partner. We’re both very big Japanese food enthusiasts. Friday night crowd was massive, food quality was great and very good value for money. Service was quite slow, with the restaurant at maximum capacity - took us a while to get served and long waits on food to come out - may need to add more staff members on for the busy nights. Overall, would recommend to anyone who likes Japanese food to make a booking for lunch or dinner! See less

Don’t normally go to Japanese restaurants as my partner is not a big fan. But our visit to Okami Traralgon changed that. We were greeted and shown to our table by delightful staff, we were then asked had we dined with them before and on advising no they explained how to order and then left be for 5 minutes for us to decide. When our food arrived we were blown away at the freshness and quality of it. We ordered 6 dishes then another 6 and followed up with green tea ice cream, all of it faultless. Oh, we left our wine at home so ordered from the wine list, the pricing was excellent, cheaper then any other restaurant I’d been to for equivalent wines. We’ll be back as the saying goes. See less

Excellent place, very friendly staff, we went there in a public holiday, the food was fresh, quick service, and the menu have too many options. We went during the "all you can eat" hours, so was cheap. There's a few desserts and also drinks. We didn't try alcohol, but they have a good variety of teas and others drinks. Not the best in selection of sushi buffet, if you are not fussy eater it’s great for you as it’s all you can eat buffet. A bit disappointed with the chicken Karage & grilled squid as it’s over cooked and tasted burnt! But beef choices are yummy especially the beef carpaccio 👍 See less

Staff were very friendly and efficient, the food was excellent. $35.00 per person for all you can eat, different to a buffet because you order from the menu and all of the food is prepared and delivered to your table. A great way to share a meal. See less
