Quite good food and it has improved in recent times with staffing, worth a try. But I'm very disappointed to read down below the owner is trying to pull the wool over customers eyes: ' the toilets are no where near the tables.' as you can see by the photo attached, they definitely are, and the customer has every right to request that they be moved. Even if the toilets are far away from this door, what difference does that make to the customer when they have people always coming and opening the door constantly right near them? See less

Always liked this location especially on a sunny Melbourne day. Haven't been for some time and discovered new owners on my visit today. In summary, food was pretty good but value was lacking. That is, too expensive for what we ordered. Also felt a little rushed. It was Ok and I'll give it another try. See less

Fantastic brunch for two unbelievable food it was just as good as it gets! Check out the photos the smoked trout with eggs benedict and cherry tomatoes was faultless and a perfect 10/10 the beef salad was the same it was super tasty our waitress was friendly and very efficient and an icy cold beer went down very well! .. nomnomnom! Was great to be able to got out after COVID lockdown and this welcoming little cafe on the corner of the South Melbourne Market was perfect. Great coffee, delicious breakfast and friendly service. Can easily recommend. See less

Bad experience. Asked for changing to a table further away from the toilet but was refused multiple times even though there were empty tables by the window. Their excuse was that there were other customer waiting. My point is please respect people who are already your CUSTOMER in the cafe rather than attracting more people to the cafe. They also said that they can’t give us the table because it was for three people, then they welcomed TWO people to the table!!! How ironic!!! Food was also average. See less

First off, lovely staff that were very welcoming. Ordered the Get Smart breakfast meal and added bacon. If you like simple but full of flavour this is the avocado dish for you. Quite a big filling meal! With a hint of zesty after taste of lemon and feta, the almonds and seeds is the icing on the cake adding a very nice crunchy finish! Would go here again. Nice place, nice staff and good sandwiches. They have quite a few seats outside and inside is lovely. The haloumi sandwich with fresh baby spinach and caramelized onion was crunchy and tasty. Prices are average. Staff taking care of you! Lovely atmosphere! See less

A great cafe for breakfast or lunch just opposite the South Melbourne market. Plenty of seating inside and out however it gets busy on weekends. The tables do turnover quickly. A great selection of food, good coffee and licensed. There is room for improvement with the service. See less
