We ordered a cake and asked for a bag to put the cake in. This resulted in a lecture on plastic bags being unavailable and not biodegradable. A simple no would have been sufficient. I then ordered a coffee and we waited awhile for it. I went to check and asked how long it would be and the barista was rude and advised that they had other customers waiting. However I saw a couple who ordered after us who recieved their meals first. We didn't mind waiting but to be dismissed so rudely didn't feel great. Perhaps they were busy but it would have been nice if staff were more polite with their answers. Sometimes going to a cafe with quality service is more important than the actual products served. We would not come here again and would recommend others to go elsewhere if you want to be treated in a kind and polite manner. See less

Tastey Thai Sweet potatoes pie. Nice coffee. Rather crowded but it was a holiday weekend. Staff initially quite curt and stressed but chilled out as numbers decreased. Layout of this nice eating place does not lend itself to large numbers See less

Food and coffee are great! Unfortunately the barista had a serious attitude problem. Making remarks about peoples orders and questioning why and if they needed take away cups, explaining why their order for an iced coffee didn’t have ice, etc We went on Saturday the 19th of Feb in the morn. To give a 5 star review we only ask that the staff is minimally polite, not the case with this individual. See less

It was a great local cafe if you were in the Mornington peninsula. The atmosphere and food were excellent—the staff were lovely and easy going. The service was quick and everyone around just look little they where enjoying them self. It was great to see how man my locals visited it felt like home. Such a cute building with amazing quality food and coffee. Well known for its Vanilla slice which sells so quickly. We arrived an hour before closing and when I asked how early we would have to arrive the next day to get some of the delicious slice, the owner immediately went and made a fresh batch for us. Food was great; a dense & delicious almond croissant & a ham cheese tomato toastie. Coffee was excellent too, got some piccolos which were nice and strong. Customer service however was a bit lacking; maybe the staff were flustered or under pressure, it was quite busy. A simple request to briefly heat up the croissant in the sandwich press was quickly dismissed on the basis that they were baked fresh this morning. Food is really great here. I like how they have different breakfast specials made by a real chef. Their lasagna is the closest I’ve come to my own mothers homemade. Always really lovely to sit outside with your dog too! See less

Quiet, little bakery. Lovely, efficient staff. Inside felt crowded due to the large tables and other furniture even with no other customers inside. When the cafe got busier there was limited space for customers to stand while they were waiting to order. Limited breakfast/lunch menu. The egg and bacon roll was pretty standard. Probably a lovely spot for locals but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit here again. See less

Nice coffee, cosy cafe, friendly staff. Our family had a pie, almond croissant, doughnuts and bacon and egg Turkish bread sandwich - all was really tasty. There are a few books and toys for the kids too which made sitting and relaxing easier as they're entertained. See less
