Pretty good coffee, not as good as it was couple years back though. Workers have their favourite customers which they chat with, I know people who have been there for years and barely get a hello back. See less

While this is definitely one of the better places for coffee on the high st, I’ve found the service pretty disappointing. I recently ordered a takeaway coffee and waited outside with others who had done the same. The waitress came out and gave the other people their coffees and had a friendly chat with them but when mine was ready they stayed behind the counter and shouted out the door that it was ready. Not a big deal but it was a pretty clear signal that I wasn’t one of ‘the regulars’. It seemed like a very exclusionary and petty gesture - you should provide customers the same service whether they’re a regular customer or not. See less

I gave this place 5✨ Cause I rarely find good coffee anywhere. I had 2 today and they were both excellent, sadly in Melbourne that’s not an easy feat. Next to the best yoga studio in Melbourne too, so that definitely helped ❤️ See less

Great vibe, excellent coffee, exceptional food, warm friendly service. We happen on this place looking for a coffee and there was the wow factor which was pleasent. Great casual furniture, tasteful decor. These guys know coffee.. highly recommend the wagu beef burger.. See less

Penny Farthing 🚲is tucked in the busy and notorious High Street in Northcote and with its hispster vibe has become a well known destination🌟. We came here on a busy Good Friday as our tummies were churning and we couldn't be bothered to cook. Luckily their chef was up for the challenge: feeding us 😂. We ordered the Sweet Potato Rosti and their Kransky dish as they sounded very yummy 😊 The food took little time to come out and we were very pleased to see the plates making their way to our table 😛 Both were humbly tasty, homie and cozy. Surely cooked with passion and love😙. We did find that the Rosti lacked of a fresh and a crunchy element, and the Kransky could have been perfect if served with a slice of bread but they were still delicious 😍 We almost forgot to mention their Industry Bean BANG ON v60 filter, pure music for our palate 🎉 See less
