A good morning stop for coffee and breakfast.
Location: in the main Kingston shop area, central to the suburb.
Venue: a long brick venue with an open kitchen and some seating outside in front. I love the open kitchen as it creates an open relationship between what you've ordered and where it's coming from. I didn't experience it but coming from the industry I'm concerned it might get really loud if it's busy. Trust me, kitchen's can get very loud. Though it wasn't too bad in the early morning hours I went there.
Staff: friendly and helpful, the kitchen staff, being exposed to the patrons look professional and clean (they can't hide getting grubby if they're right in front of everyone)
Food: pretty funky menu, very fresh and somewhat progressive. I liked it. Lots of healthy choices if people are looking for that.
Coffee: their blend at the time of review is actually pretty conservative, not going for the more full floral and herbal blends you might see coming up. It's a got a good robust bite at the start with a sweet hint. It was actually really refreshing to start the day with such a good coffee. Highly recommend for take away, as they allow you to order at the window on the street.
Overall, I was really happy with everything. Tasty, clean, not too overpriced. I'll come back. See less
