Brought the family here at about 1.30pm on a Saturday. There weren’t lots of pies left, so we went with the last plain one, last beef stroganoff one, and the last beef and cheese. Arguably the ‘Best Pies in Nelson Bay’ I could smell the store as I walked past. Stop grabbed a few different flavours and I was not disappointed. They are packed to the top with delicious flavourful filling. Quality ingredients full of flavour. 🥧 they’re made fresh everyday and they make their own special pastry. Not your typical pie. I travel around a lot and I go to a lot of pie shops I’ve come across this one in Nelsons Bay the pie lab I was told about it so I went in and bought a couple of pies . wow they’re full of meat tasty and quite large and great value for money. if you’re travelling and you’re in Nelsons Bay Or want to go for a long drive come to Nelsons Bay go to the pie lab and grab yourself a pie. you will be pleased and it is well worth the drive. well going back for another pie now they were beautiful from MWH. if you’re looking for the pie lab it is diagonally across the road from Woolworths at Nelsons Bay I took a photo to show you where it is from MWH See less

My vegetarian pastie was a huge disappointment. Filled with mashed potato and a few tasteless, probably frozen, vegetables. If you like heavily salted mashed potato in pastry then go to Pie Lab, if you want a vegetarian pastie try elsewhere. See less

Fantastic pies. I had heard about this new pie shop in Nelson Bay for a while now and I decided to go give them a try. Everywhere we travel I'm sure you hear or see signs all around Australia about the best pies are made here, only to be disappointed. Well, the Pie Lab do make fantastic pies. The meat is thick, chunky but tender with plenty of flavours. I had pepper and a chilli pie that was bursting with flavour, you could actually taste the chilli something most shops tend to go light on. The size of the pie is massive and the pastry is cooked great. The staff a friendly and welcoming, there are a few tables out the front to sit down and eat your pie or walk down to the Marina and enjoy it there. I would definitely recommend this as the pie shop to go to in Port Stephens. See less
