Pomegranate is an excellent experience with a wonderful ambiance and fantastic, friendly staff. We had the banquet menu which is a sample of about 8 different dishes that were incredibly generous servings… Highlights included the prawn mousaka, L chops and the zucchini flowers… excellent wine choice! Delicious food, thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Interesting choices, and very good portions based on price. Left rather full. Should have passed on the desert, but couldn't help myself. The cardamon ice cream.was delightful. See less

Liked all 5 dishes in the degustation so would definitely recommend it. Dessert with the chocolate mousse and sour cherry sorbet was devine. Loses one star for service not being that great. Refilled water, but didn't ask if we wanted another drink. May have been short staffed. See less

Relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff, excellent menu with the addition of enticing specials. The lunch time seating was quite full but the space meant we weren’t crowded. Staff accommodated our 5 year old daughter. The kingfish was full of flavour however parts of the dish were cold and the fish itself was only just warm. The Balmain Bugs were sensational as was the chocolate dessert. Lovely and tasty dips platter and the potatoes were very crunchy and flavoursome. See less

An exquisite experience from entry to departure. Staff/Service: attentive, polite, and thoughtful. Our originally booked table was opposite what appeared to be someone's function. When they started getting loud the staff took it on themselves to offer us a different table away from the noise - didn't even have to ask! Food: there is not enough patience in the reader of this review to fully blog the culinary artistry and finesse of the chef last night. I'm just disappointed I didn't take more pictures to assist the write up. My friend had the Ranger's Valley Wagyu, and my other friend and I had the Banquet. Every course was delicious from the first entre to the dessert. The Wagyu main and the banquet combined, there was over 4 different types of meat - each cooked (and presented) exceptionally. The vegetarian courses were outstanding - almost enough to convert this life long carnivore. The first bite into everything that was presented last night exhibited the same word from all of us. "Wow". I look forward to my next booking! See less

Chefs in Pomegranate Restaurant really know how to bring out wonderful flavour from the core ingredients, and put twist to it to make them taste special. We really enjoyed the banquet menu that took us through 9 delicious dish. We felt it was very reasonably priced. Great ambience - adequately dim lighting, tables are not too close with each other, lots of effort on decorating up the walls and they all work together to create comfortably cheery atmosphere. The entrees were excellent. We had the balmain bugs and the artichoke hearts. Unfortunately the main was more of the same and didn’t really set itself apart like the entrees did. The desserts were also delicious. See less

Pomegranate delivers a truely special experience. The inside and outside of the restaurant are absolutely beautiful. The seating arrangement is comfortable and the tables are spread out enough that you can easily talk to others at your table. The quality of the food was top notch, and served suprisingly quick for a fine dining restaurant. Each dish had a complex flavour profile that changed with each mouthful depending on garnishes accompanying the main feature of the plate. The restaurant offered a view into the kitchen, which meant that you could see how much effort and love the chef's put into the food they serve, it was a fun experience. Highly recommend Pomegranate for a romantic or celebration dinner. See less

Great service and delicious food. We got the banquet menu, where every dish was great. The staff were super welcoming and friendly - very professional and knew their stuff. The food and wine came quickly, and were all very tasty. The only small strange thing was they used the same main plate for all the different dishes - so the fish was mixing with lamb, mixing with the chicken etc. It would have been good to change plates between dishes. Overall - highly recommended See less
