Food took 50 minutes to arrive. I went to the bar while staff had their back to me; two arrived after me. As staff turned around to serve, I ended up being served last. Poor form. There's also a 'Sunday service surcharge' each time on drinks ($1.50)-not advertised anywhere. Decent spot and nice set-up, but feels like it had ideas above its station. See less

Had my elderly Parents in the ACT today and we needed lunch - stumbled across Public Manuka and from the moment we looked in the front door we were made feel welcome with country style warmth and hospitality. Really friendly staff from the moment we walked in. Location is great to sit outside on a sunny day and watch the world go by. Drinks really well priced and our Pizza and Salad delicious and very fresh. A really easy place to enjoy a lazy day. See less

As Sydneysiders, we stumbled upon Public while we explored the arcades of Manuka, and Public did not disappoint. Very friendly service, comfy seats outside, generous pours, and tasty fresh food. We enjoyed the Beetroot Salad and the Ham & Pineapple Pizza (don't knock it until you try it -- it was amazing, crusts and all)! Thanks so much for a great lunchtime getaway! See less

We dropped by this bar twice on our holiday and both times it had a healthy amount of patrons. The Friday evening had a great vibe with a mellow live acoustic set playing in the background. Like a lot of places in Canberra the drinks are expensive, especially the beer (it would help if the staff knew how to pull a proper beer, it wouldn't make you cringe so much for having to pay almost 13 bucks a pint). You get better value out of the cocktails. We didn't get a chance to try their food. See less
