I called today Friday 14 January 2022 at 2:21pm to let the store now that my son had returned with fried chips that tasted like Salmon fish.
I didn't want to speculate but after she immediately hung up on me, I called right back.
I then went on to say that I wasn't looking for a return only if she would cook up a batch of fried chips and try to find the reason for the taste of fish.
She tried to tell me it was fine, that there was nothing wrong with them and that she had just served another customer and they were happy with them.
I then went on to tell her that there were 4 of us that all agreed the food tasted like fish and then I was hit with the silent treatment. I said to her that I will call the food safety authories (HACCP) if she didn't take me seriously.
I then hung up.
Was this rotten potatoes?
Could it have been old oil?
Maybe fish had been cooked in it?
Let us not speculate further.
