I think what really makes or brakes a business is the customer service, and I must say this business really looks after its customers. Visit this place if you want the worst experience. Staff are very rude and the food is no way compared to south Indian cuisine. I really don't understand how this resturant can still survive. Waiting for places like this and similar baseless Indian restaurants to shut & stop tainting the integrity of Indian cuisine. See less

The owner/manager of the restaurant has a terrible ego. He treated me as if I was asking for free food. Was very rude and disgusting for no good reason. This is the very first time I had such an awful experience at an Indian restaurant in Canberra. He has this special rude attitude for south asian people as I have noticed. No wonders why this restaurant is always empty. If possible I'd have given a -200 rating. See less

Worst Dosa I ever had.... with the attitude of the manager it didn't take too much time to get out.. NB.there were no one when I was there and this explains a lot. DEAR people this is not how south Indian food tastes like No one have ketchup with dosa to start with. See less

WORST FOOD EVER. Ordered a delivery. Fish curry was so plain was turmeric and water with just 4 tiny pieces of fish. The 2 naans and the aloo parata was not cooked at all felt like eaten raw flour. Threw away all the food after eating a bite. Disgusting food Do Not Order from here. See less

so bad experience. ordered some takeaway yesterday night. I have ordered cheese Naan, garlic Naan and aloo Kulch but received three uncooked plain Naan. instead of samosa we got burnt samosa where those stuffing were coming out.chilli chicken is just some boiled chicken with lot of chilli powder for them. so disgusting.. never ever going to even think of having food from this restaurant. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY by going here. I feel sad of wasting my hard earn money on the bad dinner. See less

We ordered food from Ruchi’s. The food is not edible. They gave tiny cup of sambar. They should not call themselves South Indian restaurant. They don’t know, what actually is South Indian food. The dosa was not at all tasty. See less

My friend had a dosa and I a hot chicken curry. Both were extremely tasty. Sadly the next visit the food was not of the same quality. Difficult to believe it's the same chef. So 1 rating of 5 and 1 of 1, average 3. See less

This is our regular Saturday-evening choice for Indian takeaway. The food is of high quality with a great depth of flavour. At the same time, dishes that are recommended as being mild really are mild rather than being spicy hot. The South Indian emphasis gives the menu a breadth and emphasis that is not common in other Indian restaurants in Canberra. The owners are invariably polite and friendly. See less

Bought take away recently and to say it was an extreme disappointment is an understatement. $50 for two curries and a bread basket. The curries were way overpriced at $17.50 a piece - the quantities were small (barely enough for two people) and the taste was ok but not great. Same goes for the so called bread basket too. We could have had a much better, much bigger meal for $50. We actually feel cheated! I wouldn't have given even a single star had Google let me post this with no stars. Never again from them. Worst customer ever experience. The restaurant was practically deserted (for good reason as well); yet we still waited well over half and hour for our mediocre meals. The manager spent the entire time watching tv and paid no attention to us or our needs. The food had some issues which I expressed to the manager when paying our bill (had no issues with paying the full amount but it was some constructive criticism such as the food being cold and lacking salt). The manager got defensive and started making comments such as; “people like you always create problems for our fellow countrymen” whatever that may mean, paid and left will never return. The customer service was appalling and degrading to a certain extent. See less

Finally zillion spices away from India this place got my deserted taste-buds some life. This place is amazing. It has, without a doubt, set a high benchmark for service and food in my mind. The good thing about this restaurant is its service unlike other Indian restaurants. The best dishes are butter chicken, Kerala chicken, yummy toondari chicken & many more. I have had in my life, so tender and well-cooked a great place to be with family or friends if you plan to hog and hog. The food quality and taste has been consistent ever since it started. Which is a big plus, otherwise most places have good taste and quality in the beginning, but later it deteriorates. I have been very impressed with the quality of service and food delivered at “Ruchi”. The staff is very hospitable and on their toes to cater to the needs of the customers. Good family place,Biryani is really outstanding. Have been here many times and hope to enjoy more! Superb service, clean environment level taken into good account by the owner. I would recommend this restaurant any day as one gets more than one’s money is worth Thanks for taking care of all our foodies like us! Keep up the good work guys! See less

Food didn't arrive on time, almost an hour late and only after a phone call from us. Food was cold, missing part of the order. Ordered mild as our daughter doesn't do spicy. The food was almost at my limit of spicy, our daughter had to throw hers away. Order because we got a 35% off voucher, glad we didn't pay full price. Not happy, See less
