I took my parents here last night for a treat. The food was absolutely lovely especially the salt & pepper crab (Specials board) and it all was good value for money but the night got off to a poor start when we sat down and enquired as to the location of the toilet. They don't have one in the restaurant!!! you've got to be kidding?! The 'facilities' are 2 shops away and up fairly decent flight of stairs. Not good enough in this day and age. Absolutely no mention of this for mobility impaired patrons anywhere! :( My folks are in their 70s they certainly decided not to consume too much alcohol so as not to be away from the table for any length of time. Very basic décor but the reason we wont be returning is lack of toilets! I'd say this cost the owners a decent amount as my parents and I don't mind a few cheeky wines with a meal. Edit: I sincerely apologise. I thought I was writing about the Saigon Gate restaurant in O'Connell St North Adelaide. See less

Can you see the White security door?? I didn't! So I hurt myself badly when I walking in! The ower said it's my fault because I didn't see it? They don't even have public liability insurance for compensation. Seriously? That's a big hazard to public! See less

Had takeaway here a few times, but dined in on some phò recently and it was top notch 👌🏼. Three serving sizes and the small was enough. Very tasty broth, meat was delicious and tender only complaint would be the tendons were to tough to eat. We the a pork chop & salt & pepper squid entree too, both great. Service is always friendly. Great food and customer service. The spicy beef noodle soup packed a good punch and was very flavourful and beefy; the combination laksa was rich, tasty (and not artificially sweet) and had ample of meat + vege (not just noodles) to complement the noodles. We'll be back to try their other dishes. See less

Overall - perfect Vietnamese meal with friendly service. The spring rolls were light with fresh filling and crunch pastry - piping hot straight from the fryer. Had to sample the pork chop and it was perfectly seasoned with a tasty seal to the meat. Glad I only ordered the small sized pho because it’s still a decent sized and delicious serve. The food was good. The service was quick and pleasant. The serve size was good and the prices were reasonable. My only issue is that they didn't wipe down the table so it was a bit sticky. I would have definitely given five stars if the tables were cleaned regularly. Btw, I noticed that they had vietnamese people patronizing them so my guess is that they serve authentic Vietnamese food. See less

Favourite place for pho! Have been coming here over the past year now, have tried other Vietnamese restaurants but they haven’t satisfied my taste buds like Saigon Gate (Prospect) has. Staff are super friendly too, always greeted with a kind smile. To be honest, Saigon Gate it is small with limited seating but depends on time of day. Takeaway is available, too. It is subjective to the individual’s taste as everyone is different but definitely worth trying :) See less

The Vietnamese food is good the service is great, friendly and very helpful. Menu : variety of selection is good for quick dining and prices are pretty cheap. Entry front and back, very convenient. Parking is right behind and few street parking at front due to near busy bus zone and intersection. The tables aren’t always wiped down and occasions we’ve dined in, feels sticky. Toilets need a clean. See less
