Salted Cafe is a nice little Cafe with a superb location on a sheltered part of West Lakes. It strikes me as being akin to a Cafe attached to a Hotel. The views are lovely on a nice day but the service is probably what stands out the most. The dishes we had on this day (crepes, smashed avo) were well presented and good, but just lacking a little something. The poached egg was cooked perfectly but the avo needed a little lemon zest or something to accentuate it. Coffees we had were ok but the soy flat white was too frothy for a FW and the soy milk used was not the highest quality. Perhaps if they were made a little stronger, the coffee might have been more flavoursome. See less

Hi team I was here ‏With a big group of ladies and some kids and I would like to debunk all the notion by the owner comments that we have been treated well. Indeed we felt very uncomfortable and we felt that the staff are not happy with us being in the restaurant these things can be easily felt from the staff response, how they look at us, from their body language, etc. I will retriate that they slam the dish in front of us they was trying to get us out of the restaurant. Yes we were a big group but we haven’t been told that we have to book before coming and if this is the case somebody can say look you need to book 1st and we will be very happy to leave. I’m so frustrated that I have to go into this argument, but because I saw that last comment from you wasn’t honest at all. Surprised I hadn’t been here before! This place is absolutely phenomenal. I came here for brunch with a friend. We didn’t make a booking and unfortunately they couldn’t fit us with the restrictions. They were super apologetic and lovely (not on them at all, we didn’t book) we asked if we could come back in half an hour/ an hour. They were more than happy to accomodate us then. Never felt so welcome before! The food was also to die for! I got the crepes and loved every bite. My iced mocha was one of the best I’ve had too! There was a great ambience here but the pork belly sausage roll was not all that extraordinary, just tasty enough. I will say the dressing on the salad was yummy, i could definitely have had more of that! See less

This Cafe is the best along the entire west coast and western suburbs.Unbeatable. A creative full menu on food fresh in house made to order.Interesting blend of breky bruch cafe to restaurant style with clever plating.Meals always flavourful and cooked to perfection.Love the crockery.So urganomic and adds to the dining experience.There are genuine chefs here.They know what theyre doing.Theyre passionate about food .Have great respect for and take great care with the meals.Serves are good.Service is tops.Staff are happy friendly and helpful. This cafe has alcohol.Iv enjoyed the wine here.Nice place spoton waterside location with great views.Its a rare Gem with the business ethos and high standards ,hard to find now.You cannot fault this versatile cafe.A must try. Such a gorgeous tucked away spot for brunch. We had our dogs with us, and they were very welcome on the lovely balcony. The staff were so friendly, efficient and welcoming and even gave our dogs treats after asking our permission. The coffee and food was great. Will definitely be returning. See less

The most wonderful, varied menu filled with interesting dishes. Every single item we had was delicious. Service was kind and attentive. I even loved my quirky Robert Gordon crockery. An absolute gem of a cafe at West Lakes, hidden to the rear of a multi-storey building. The reviews on here don’t lie - well prepared food, friendly customer service (Alice served us and she’s wonderful, probably the most genuinely nice server I‘ve met). The coffees are good, the views are better, and they have nice cutlery, napkins, and blankets for outside when it’s cold. Will definitely come back 🙂 See less

We were recently staying at West Lakes and wanted to have a breakfast. We lakes along the shore and noticed this little cafe. It looked extremely inviting. After going inside we’re we’re greeted by one of the loveliest staff members I have ever come across in hospitality. Her name was Alana! Alana was brilliant. She made our visit memorable for all the right reasons. She was friendly, bubbly and new the menu very well. My wife ordered Bacon and Eggs, and asked for the bacon to be crispy. She told me it was the best breakfast she has had in a really long time. I had an Iced Coffee which was lovely. My wife also had a coffee which she loved. The food, service and view was awesome. The pricing extremely reasonable as well. To the owners of this business, Alana is a MAJOR asset to your cafe and I really hope that she is appreciated by you.
