We stumbled across this restruant as we were driving past. Coming from Sydney and missing pinoy foods glad that we found this place. Living in Canberra for 3 years now I wish I had known about this place sooner I'm from Woden Valley area. We ordered the bangus with garlic rice, pork belly with garlic rice, spring rolls and the pinoy desserts. The flavours were there , it was tasty , satisifying our cravings for pinoy food. Their spring rolls are so flavoursome I wish we had ordered more instead of a 3 pack. Their desserts were fresh and not stale. The reason why I left out 2 stars is becasue the serving size for the price you pay is on the smaller size and if youre from Sydney you'll know the serving size is bigger and the price is lower but doesnt skim out on the quailty. (Example, $18 for 1 bangus, palm size of garlic rice, one slice of cucumber, one slice of tomato and 1 small sized fried egg, very well calculated) Like I said the flavours are there and satisfied the craving to eat pinoy foods just like how mum cooks it, it hits the spot. I guess it's just the ACT pricing. We'll be back as I'd like to try out more dishes and the halo halo!! I hope the community backs up this restruant. Thank you for our meals. See less

Finally got to try out Salu-Salo tucked inside Gold Creek Village. We had the beef bulalo, which is a clear broth soup with mixed veggies and beef. The beef was so perfectly tender, it was such a great addition to the wet weather we’ve been having. We paired that with pork adobo with potatoes and garlic rice. I love the fattier pieces of the pork, compared to the lean meat but that’s okay, because the chef included both in the adobo. Would’ve loved more potatoes in the dish though, especially after soaking up all the adobo sauce. Tip: mix in your adobo sauce with the garlic rice, it’s goes well together imo. Finally, we finished off our meal with a leche flan (It’s kind of like a crème brûlée). I made a nice cuppa to balance out the sweetness, and I absolutely loved it! We ate it all in one sitting. Order chicken Inasal and it was cold it the middle. Lost my appetite after that. Also ordered tokwa at baboy but it’s lacking the most important part which is the sawsawan they only put vinegar on it. Also ordered the sisig it’s the only sisig I ever tasted that I did not like. It tasted wrong, nothing like a sisig would taste like and the palabok was the same. It’s used to be good before I’m not sure what happened. See less

Been here twice. Good food, service was better the second time we came. First time we came pretty late and was very busy and they kept forgetting things we ordered. See less

Tried their fare for brekky. Authentic Filipino food. But you have to keep in mind that dishes are on the salty side. It would be an idea to have good coffee available. See less

The food was alright, but the serving is small for some of the dishes and quite expensive. We ordered the tinola which is almost all soup, a few spinach and chicken wings. The flavour is good enough. Chicken adobo was also all wing parts, but taste good. $19 for 6 small wings is not worth it. We also ordered bbq which is so small and very expensive. The sweet and sour fish is the worst. Probably 3/4 of a basa fillet and costs so much. The only good thing is that they also serve Filipino desserts which taste nice. Overall, it's fine but super expensive for little serving. It would help to use better chicken parts than all wings which is cheap. See less

Delish Filo restaurant which serves traditional Filipino meals. Meat dishes are very tasty and tender - would literally melt in your mouth. Halo-halo is a must-try!!! Friendly owner and staff. They also have a mini-grocery as well which is very convenient if you're after some pantry stock or just a snack for midnight. Pro Tip: They cater for big events in-house and also has food trays to-go, ask the staff for details. See less

What a terrific find!! Cute little place with the friendliest staff!!! Quite an extensive menu, and the most welcoming aroma when you enter. Unusual yet super tasty food. Don’t expect anything mainstream as the food is authentic and not heavily laced with garlic or over sweet (which I usually find). They also have a small range of authentic products for sale as well as ready made take home packs of food. Generous sized portions too. The sweet and sour fish (pictured) has a nice little hint of warmth to it. Will be back to try other dishes!! See less
