Casual atmosphere, like most ramen shops in Tokyo. Great ramen, had the Shoyu Pork Belly & Tam Tam Men. Umeshu was the white wine with plum infused style tho, not plum liquor, which disappointed my partner who doesn't like wine. See less

Great little ramen place in Preston. I've tried quite a lot of ramen both around Australia and in Japan and Shop Ramen is a solid chicken broth based ramen shop if your in the area. It wouldn't match up to the ramen restaurants in the CBD however being in the suburbs this is a great place to grab a quick dinner. I ordered a pork bun and a shiro ramen with pork, the pork bun tasted great with a the bun perfectly steamed. The ramen itself was good but not amazing. The broth was a perfect temperature out of the kitchen and Pork was very tender and cut pretty thick compared to most ramen restaurants I've been to. The service was very friendly and all the food came out in a timely matter. So no complaints. Overall I like to keep my reviews for restaurants relative to similar options in the area/city. So its a 4/5 because there are a quite a few places in melbourne with better ramen and better value, but if you don't feel like going into the CBD this is a good little alternative. See less

Travel to Japan regularly and Shop Ramen is a great alternative when not in Japan. Ramen is delicious and staff/atmosphere awesome. Both the brisket and pork belly are yum! See less

Hit or miss. First time I went there the noodles were abit too rubberish. The serving size is quite small for the price compared to other places. 2nd visit here was much better. The ramen is yum. I also ordered bao but was served the wrong bao. Nevertheless, their bao was delicious! See less
