Love this place. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with warmth and a genuine welcome. Every dish is created with care and are delicious!! Its hard to not want to order one of everything! Wine list is solid and matches well. Service is really excellent. Third time coming here and absolutely enjoyed it! The food is impeccable 👌🏿 and of course the salmon sashimi is always good. Recommend the mushroom tempura! A fantastic discovery recommended by our waiter. Service is attentive and swift as always! Thank you Shosho! See less

Service was very good and overall presentation was very appealing. Food was also very accomplished but not to my personal tastes on this occasion. I know the intents are probably different, but having dined at Shobosho, I found that to be much more satisfying. I will say though, that for our lunch, it was a thankfully quiet dining experience. Carpet on the ground, with softer furnishings than what is currently very trendy making this a venue very conducive to long catch up conversations with friends. See less

Pleasantly surprised! I've dined at shobosho a few times and wasn't overly impressed which is why I was hesitant to give shosho ago but I was blown away. The service was on point, definitely next level compared to most Adelaide restaurants. Very impressed with the snacks, crab Udon was something special and the pork chop was cooked to perfection. The flavors were so on point, especially the flavors of the Braised Brisket, caramelized miso pumpkin cream, teriyaki sauce and fried leek. What I would love was for the meat to be more tender 😅. Also loved the cold soba noodles, which was perfect for that hot day. One thing to note is that the beef was too tough and chewy. The restaurant said it happened quite commonly (accidentally) and that it was supposed to be more tender. Thus main issue would be do the inconsistency of dishes served to different table. See less

Wife and I had their DERAKKUSU CHEF’S menu which included up to 10 items including an interesting black sesame dessert and wagyu steak (tasted heavenly). Great first visit to ShoSho and already planning our next one. Delicious modern take on Japanese and great wine selection - including by the glass. Service by Lily was fantastic! Super friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine menus. Shallot pancake with laughing cow cheese was so good we had more for dessert! Kingfish sashimi with “strange” flavour sauce was great too. And the dumplings! So much more to try on our next visit. See less

The wait staff were lovely. The food was well constructed and full of flavour. We did the chefs selection banquet which seems quite pricey at the time. But the quality of the dishes quickly quelled our worries. The kingfish sashimi was a stand out entree. See less

We had a delicious lunch. Every dish we ordered was delicious. Nothing to say. We were happy. The only flaw, a bit read, we waited long enough to get the dishes we ordered. The risotto was delicious and the tempura the best ever. If I came back to Adelaide, I’m sure that I want to came back here. You must to try it! See less

So happy to have Japanese Tempura in Adelaide!! It is a cool and modern Japanese restaurant. 3 of us, a family enjoyed their sensational foods. However there’s no kids meal, my daughter loved prawn’s Katsu sandwich and handmade ice cream very well. We enjoyed some snacks and tempura course. Appreciate their warm welcoming atmosphere. She also enjoyed to discover cute iconic “Kewpie “ dolls and illustrations in the restaurant. See less
