Visited this establishment on 7/07. The menu which we first saw online gave an impression of a classy restaurant. Reality turned out different. The restaurant and the bar were adjoined into the same area and a noisy crowd of locals created an atmosphere of a busy Sat night pub. This did not correlate with the price tag at all. The staff were apologetic about the situation but there is nothing they could do to change it. They later explained that their usual bar area, which is presumably quieter was temporarily closed. This gave little comfort to a couple of interstate visitors who came to the Goldcoast for a good time and value for money. Management should have thought better which target crowd they want to attract more.
The food was not bad, my wife enjoyed garlic prawns which was a generous and honest dish, to be fair. There was nothing appealing for me and I ended up having fish and chips (for $40!).
On another night we went to another seafood restaurant, Omeros brothers, where the food and the service were top notch and we happily left $200 plus we’ll deserved tips. I would really recommend that place over Shuck (Shock!). See less
