Worst Chinese food, or takeaway food in general I've ever received. The chicken satay was grey, pad Thai flavourless, strange fried rice and the bbq pork tasted old. The only half okay dish we had was lemon chicken. Oh and we were told 45 minutes for delivery and food didnt arrive for 2 hours and no apology - in fact the delivery driver was quite abrupt when he dropped the food off and forgot his eftpos machine. I would not recommend eating here. See less

Ordered delivery and told 45 minutes. Rang several times while waiting and told it’s on the way. Two and a half hours later it arrived. No phone call, no apology. Food was Luke warm and tasteless. Very disappointed See less

Been going here for years, not because it’s great Chinese food but it’s the best out of so many in Mornington/Mount Martha, my husband went to grab some fried rice & when told he had to pay approx 8% surcharge on eftpos he walked out, won’t be going here again, NO ONE should be paying a surcharge on Eftpos, the banks DONT, this is outrageous & unacceptable, shame on anyone that still tries to charge this😡😡😡 Ps. The Peking Duck was dry & inedible, came with celery instead of spring onions!!!! See less

Stopped ordering from here ages ago due to carrots. Thought I'd give it another go. Phone order. Can I please order 2 special fried rice, no carot . (2 special fried rice 10 minutes) yes, no carrot please. (no carrot 10 minutes) thanks. Pick up 2 sloppy special fried rice with carrot in 10 minutes. Won't be back ever again. I think I got microwaved left overs. Binned it, super wet, very greasy, disgusting. See less

They don't even deserve a start, the staff ,chefs, not good at all. Food has no taste. 3 tables and have to wait for 2.5 hours to be served. One person taking orders and serve too. Run like crazy dropped the food, old man cranking with staff, take way went wrong , I felt bad for girl. Nahh don't got to this Silver Palace. It uso to be very good back on times we love it than. After several return visits since my original 4 star review. Tonight I have to down grade to 3 and that's with a push. Entrees being served with main rice? Doesn't make any sense. Chicken was beyond dry and rice was cold by the time main was served. No heating on upon arrival..it was cold, unwelcoming and no ambiance sitting in complete silence. See less

I love silver palace, never fail to impress and have been dining here for the past 20 years, almost always on estimated time and so very consistent in the good quality and beautiful taste to the food they provide. Whether dine in or take out, highly recommended. See less

Truly the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. When my group of 3 entered, the main greeter/waitress only said "Yeah just go sit at one of the tables up the back" when we said we had a reservation. We were then seated at a table clearly not for 3 people and had to ask if we could be reseated because we were at such an odd angle at such a large table. The main waitress then constantly berated their co-worker who was probably in-training, she also had no real idea of what was on the menu, and when she did it was described extremely poorly "Just like vegetables and stuff". They didn't have half the things we initially wanted to order and the food was barely passable. Someone at our table ordered spicy beef which wasn't spicy at all, and was extremely undercooked. Someone else also ordered a birds nest, and it was served in this giant greasy fried wonton "taco bowl" type thing. The toilets were also in a disgusting state. Toilet/Sink/Floor was grimy and a mess. As a type 1 diabetic, I don't like injecting insulin or testing my blood sugar levels in front of people (especially when they're at a place for eating), so I try to go to the toilets and do it in there. However this place was just filthy and I really didn't want to be using my sharps in such a dirty place. The suggestion of dividing my 3 portions of wonton soup across entree and mains was genuinely helpful (I'm recovering from a wisdom tooth extraction), and I did actually enjoy my food as simple as it was (only $4.90 for 5 wontons in a cup of broth as well is a pretty good deal). I don't expect heaps from what's clearly just a simple Chinese restaurant (ie: small, only 2 cooks, low cost reflected the portion size, etc), but clean toilets and a waitstaff that don't make snarky comments about their co-workers should be a bare minimum. I feel like the ratio of good to bad things was 1:5. Maybe these problems are all just because of one person, and I do hope they are as the other waitress was genuinely trying to provide as good a service as she could, however our experience in the end was pretty disappointing and so sadly I'm going to have to rate this venue 1 star. We recently went to this restaurant without a booking as a group of 7 for lunch and ended up ordering a $30pp banquet. It was a perfect venue for our purpose - environmentally quiet, efficient, friendly service and sensational food. Would highly recommend and we will certainly be going back! Absolutely disgusting was abused from the cook/manager food was disgusting was hung up on multiple times over charged food tasted like bleach and burnt ! Would NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!! Asked for a refund and offered to give the food back and got hung up on and the phone went out of service ! See less
