I will begin by saying, this is the first time I have provided negative feedback in a public forum such as this but I felt I had no choice. I attended Sol cafe today with my partner. I had fond memories of the excellent customer service and food from regular visits 5 years ago and convinced my partner this was the best on offer in West End. During our time there, an older gentleman was serving and was audibly seeking positive feedback from customers for all to hear. My partner got the potato cake meal which was undercooked. Avoiding a fuss, they ate it (and regretting it now). I had scrambled eggs which had so much pepper in it, it was inedible. Although I tried, I couldn't eat it and provided this feedback to a staff member who shrugged his shoulders and walked away with my plate. Hearing the other gentleman seeking feedback, I discreetly and politely shared this with him. He was dismissive of the feedback and no attempt was made to resolve the issue . I was essentially told I was wrong. Clearly ownership has changed, the food was over priced and unless feedback is positive, it would appear, they don't want to hear. We were very disappointed and will not be back. See less

Brilliant healthy organic cafe food. Lovely environment. Gorgeous outdoor dining. Very friendly staff and impressive owners. The feel of an authentic family owned and run business. Covid and local commercial rents has killed this business and I've just read they are closing down. This is a real loss for WE locals and visitors. Organic and considerate food. Such a shame. Should not have happened to this business. See less

Outdoor seating is lovely. Had the potato cake and beans on my last visiy, was delicious and filling!!! Definitely in my top 5 on the south side 👌 plus staff are super friendly See less

We absolutely love Sol! Every time we visit we are blown away. Amazing food, drinks and such a variety of bread.nThe staff are always so polite and welcoming and the music is such a vibe.nnExtra stars for the best babychino we’ve received as well! See less
