We came specifically for the Unicorn Hotcake, which did not disappoint. The food was beautifully plated, and delicious. Coffee by Ona was good too. Service was friendly, and prompt. Orders are placed via your phone after scanning the QR code, which was easy. Im surprised other cafes of this size dont do the same, especially during the pandemic. That said...you do miss seeing all the beautiful cakes, desserts in the display cabinet when ordering via phone. Space Kitchen is attached to a multistorey carpark, theres also some 1hr & 2hr on street parking too. See less

Great service and amazing food. I highly recommend their Japanese Style poke bowl and Moroccan lamb salad. The lightly sweetened "real chai" was very good with loads of cinnamon flavour. Would visit again. See less

The food all looks and sounds amazing and my meal was tasty, however elements of each meal were cold. My mushrooms, roasted tomatoes and toast were all cold and my partners burrito was also cold. My friend had the green eggs and ham which he said was good (not cold), however needed more bread. See less

Friendly service, wonderfully created meals with a visual flair and good balance of flavours and textures. The cakes are a must try and definitely their speciality. Wow. I took my team of 7 there for lunch. Food came out exceptionally fast and was beautiful. Normally I get a bit of food envy at others choices, but not today. Everyone commented on how exceptional the food was and how quick it came out (very important for that one hour lunch break). I went to Space kitchen on a lucky recommendation and It did not disappoint. If you go to Canberra then you have to stop here. We had the high tea, I liked that the menu was arranged in advance we had lots of options that I wouldn’t have chosen for myself. The service was fantastic, 3 members of the team couldn’t of been more attentive. Special mention to Ric the owner who was a wonderful host. The deserts they offer are some of the best I’ve ever tasted! It’s a must visit, you heard it here first! See less

Was down in Canberra for a day trip and googled good places for lunch and Space Kitchen came up. I booked a table and from the moment we got there is was great. The service was excellent and the food well I didn’t expect to get what we got. Usually you pay an expensive amount but what comes out is small and not enough but in this case, we couldn’t even eat it all. There was so much food and it was delicious. We also got some amazing treats to take home. Overall it was fantastic and we can’t wait to go back. See less

Really enjoyed our visit, and the review is only leaving due to accessibility issues. We did need to ask staff and push for a more accessible table (despite requesting this when booking online)- there were two bookings at the same time, one further through the restaurant with lower tables and one much closer to the entry and easier to access. Staff were resistant to change but were eventually accommodating and my friend (pregnant and wheelchair user) was really excited to get out of the house and have somewhere that was accommodating. On the booking form online was overjoyed they had an accessible option and ability to add notes - minor adjustments around staff awareness and assigning tables would be appreciated. Improvement notes: The higher tables that are easier to scoot under are appreciated by wheelchair users Navigating to the back corner in a wheelchair can be difficult Food was fantastic! Also it was easy to split, order from table and they had incredible decadent desserts. I'm really hopeful and optimistic this will be a 5 star review in the near future. There is obvious effort from SpaceKitchen to be accessible, and will recommend to friends. See less

Love their french toast with passionfruit curd, meringue and berries. Beautiful presentation and perfectly balanced taste, not too sweet or sour. Hubby ordered the minor service, he likes the bacon, crispy but not too dry. They have a variety of cakes as well, all look amazing but we were too full at the end. See less

Been to Space Kitchen a few times and I have always been happy with both the food and service. Despite normally being quite busy, there is plenty of indoor seating. The staff are both friendly and attentive. I normally order the breakfast burrito that not only looks great, but tastes fantastic. It is on the pricier side of cafes, but is similar to other cafes in the surrounding area. There most famous attribute however would be their amazing cakes. There are so many to choose from. They look incredible to the point where you don't even want to eat them, but trust me, it is worth it! See less

Space kitchen does decent food, often with many fusion options - there were some Mexican, Vietnamese and Japanese flavours on the menu. They also have a dessert cabinet filled with colourful and creative desserts, similar to Ricardo’s. The best thing is that you can order and pay straight from your phone using the QR code. See less
