This restaurant was okay. The food was good, but for the price I expected delicious. I did notice that when they bring the food out, it comes out family-style, in one shareable dish per food item ordered. Once each shareable dish is delivered to the table, the server automatically start to place spoonfuls of each food item onto each party's plate. I have never seen this before and everyone else in the restaurant seemed to really enjoy having the server spoon out portions of whatever the table ordered onto each person's plate like how parents do for young children.
My friend and I requested that they do not serve us in this manner and the server was kind about it and didn't hover or be weird about it. I am very particular about my food if given the option. For example, I prefer to choose how much of each food item I personally desire to eat and am not sure how another person could possibly know where on the plate I want specific items and how much of each item. I also have a preference about certain foods not touching before I have had a chance to taste them.
I am very particular about how my food is handled, especially when it is served family style. My personal preference is to not be served like a child from a stranger. But I believe this type of service contributes to the higher pricing of the food.
The ambiance is really nice and high end. It's a place that you want to get dressed up for. The place is lit beautifully at night and the dim lighting inside is very comfortable for friends, but I can also see it being romantic for couples.
They also seat parties in a manner that is spaced out within the restaurant, allowing for literal breathing room and social distancing.
The food is satisfactory, but not on the level of delicious (which can be a bit disappointing because the ambiance and pricing gives the impression of food that is cooked to perfection). See less
