It's no secret that Europeans lead the world for all things made of meat. I'm sorry, they do. They take spices, whatever meat is available, and they make it *work*. The further east you travel in Europe, in general, the more spiced meat becomes a staple. That's the premise of Spit Shack. While it sounds like a room full of spittoons, in reality it's a small wooden, well, shack, that serves unbelievably delicious meats that have their origins in Eastern Europe; in this case Croatia. It's a family run business, so you tend to run into family members, which is always a good sign.
Now, the important part. The food is excellent. It's fast food obviously, but it's delivered at a slightly slower pace; while the food itself arrived fast, it's not *too* processed. The meat is juicy enough and there's lots of it. Condiments range from traditional to contemporary American; there's a good range. It's more expensive than other comparative fast food joints, but not by much. The chips and gravy are a probably overly salty, but the quantity makes you shut up and scoff anyway. Greed is a terrible thing.
